Uncle Remus SFC - Bolingbrook

If you know this place then, it is what those of us remember about Uncle Remus chicken. I've been a repeat customer for over 30 years. My visit to the Bolingbrook location was good. Good location, parking etc.

Fish wasn't cooked, still pink. No bread in any of our dinners. For the price, the quality don't match.Update- rolls use to be in the meals, I guess now that you have the foot traffic for the area you'll start charging for the rolls ??‍♀️ no worries, I won't be emailing because I won't be back ??‍♀️

I’ve order from this location several times & every time had been a good experience until recently. I order 180.00 of chicken, fish & fries. Once I returned home with my order & was ready to eat, we noticed the chicken tasted old & refried. The fish was terrible & didn’t even taste like it was fried & the French fried were hard cold & had a greenish color! I immediately returned all the food after trying to call them several times but no one answered the phone. The guy stated that the grease was OLD that’s why the food tasted the way it did but why sell me food that you know is not fresh or even edible! I don’t think I will ever return to this place after this experience. I hope this establishment works harder to ensure their food is better.

UPDATE! They offered me a cup of mild sauce!!! Don’t go here the customer service proves they don’t care about their customers! Horrible horrible ! It wasn’t the Uncle Remus that I remember, it isn’t consistent. Even the grand opening and right after it was the best chicken. I came the other day and highly disappointed to say the least! Asked for mild sauce and barely any on my “saucy” chicken or fries! Not happy at all that I traveled for the food that I received

I got here 20 mins before they opened and didn’t mind waiting. I walked up to the door at 11:20 and they still weren’t open. When they finally did open they didn’t even have chicken because “they used it all yesterday.” Then I was asked to wait another 20-30 mins for someone to go get more food. Smh. Do better

I just tried this for the first time. The chicken was hot, fresh and delicious. The mild sauce was excellent as well. I definitely will be back!

This is a review of the Uncle Remus Food Truck: The sides are garbage! Neither the okra nor the fries had even the smallest pinch of seasoning. Their mild sauce is more like a sweet n' sour sauce, which isn't the best compliment for catfish and they don't offer tartar sauce. Their only positive is how well the sauce compliments the well seasoned and well cooked chicken wings. I'd give the catfish a C+ if it was accompanied by tartar sauce.

It was ok, I walked in and ordered. It took a long time, 20 minutes or so.No air conditioning and no place to sit while you wait. It was hot outside as well as inside, so not a comfortable wait.The chicken itself was good.Probably better to oder ahead of time, then go pick it up.

My chicken was hard as a brick. My friend from Chicago didn’t even eat her food she bought . It was too hard but that sauce was good

Love the chicken and if you aren't a fan of the sauce ask for it on the side and not smothered.Also some sides run out fast on weekends.

Purchased this chicken quick to take to a gathering and got it there the chicken was old and had a horrible scent! The lady was nice and asked if I wanted to bring it back, NO why would I come back for another round of bad chicken! We tossed every piece of it! Be cautious when buying from here. This place needs an inspection by the city

They have the best catfish in the Chicago land area and the chicken wings are pretty good also....

Order bogus, chicken was old, no mild sauce, no apology after I had to drive all the way back here, BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE.

****Don't waste your money**** went to uncle Remus yesterday knowing their prices are extremely high. I paid $50 for a 20 piece wing with 3 sides which was basically fries because there sides selection is limited. When we got home there were a mixture of small and extra small wings in the pan. Some of the wings that were in the order weighed 1 ounce. In my opinion this is extremely unacceptable. Their prices should reflect the quality of the purchase. If that is not possible, then Uncle Remus owes it to the customer to be truthful of the quality of their product and the customer should be able to make there choice. Otherwise they are scaming the community that supports them.
