We went for the ayce crab legs. They were pretty good, could've used more seasoning, though. Cooked perfectly. Excellent service.
Update. We went again on a Sunday for lunch. Very busy. I ordered the 2 pc fried chicken special. I got the smallest chicken leg with barely any meat on it as one of my pieces & the thigh must have been from the same chicken because it wasn't much bigger. They were both barely warm and rubbery. I couldn't even pull some of the meat off of the bone. They did give me another piece after I showed them though and it was very fresh and good.

Love this place! My 80+ year old parents usually will not eat out at any restaurant. Then I convinced them to come here with my husband and myself. Needless you say, they can't wait to visit again. My Dad loved the options on the food bar especially the fried chicken. He was pleasantly surprised at the dessert table too. They hardly ever go out to any restaurants, so I am over the moon happy that they liked this place. We will go back in the spring. Right now the winter cold is keeping us inside more.
Next visit we are going to take some time to visit the military honor walls. I noticed there was a service for one at the entrance to honor our fallen soldiers. What a beautiful tribute to those who gave All. I salute this place for their dedication to our armed services and the dedication and their patriotic values. This place is a hidden treasure and well worth visiting.

Old time diner like the ones I grew up with and you hardly fine. They had three different dinners to choose from plus plenty of sandwiches and many other options including a kids menu. The prices were that of an old fashioned diner too. Cracker Barrel has the same options but they charge twice as much. You can get full for under $15. In were attentive and friendly. Food was good. There’s better places but it was better than some diners and their cafeteria food. Hard to beat this for combination of price and food and small town atmosphere. Cleaner and nicer than you might expect as well. Well worth it if you’re coming through on Route 37
We were here for bow hunting for a couple of weeks and ate here twice. The biscuits and gravy were good, and my boyfriend LOVED the ham (way too thin and fatty for my taste). Everything else was fair to middlin'. Eggs, toast, pancakes, bacon, sausage - all fine but nothing tasted homemade. The smothered chicken was a tiny, overcooked breast with CANNED mushrooms and mozzarella cheese. My baked potato was a little on the hard side, but fine. The yeast roll was good (premade) but since the included chocolate cake never showed up before we left after we ate our meal, I can't review it. The prices are great and the portions are generous, so I can see why it's popular with the locals and hunters. It's a good thing for them there's no competition locally!

Restaurantji Recommends
Bonnie Cafe supports their employee who celebrated the death of Charlie Kirk, and is blocking anyone who speaks out about it.
FANTASTIC FOOD! Go for the breakfast! It is worth it!
Not that I wouldn’t recommend the Bonnie Cafe in Bonnie but sure hope you get a different server than we had (Laura). Unfriendly, inattentive, brought our food and then was not to be seen again. Had to ask twice for hot sauce and didn’t bring the piece of cake that was supposed to come with dinner. She appeared to not want to be there. The other server waiting on neighboring tables seemed to be excellent. Food was delicious
Mmmm good

While camping at Rend Lake, we went in for a delicious breakfast! Seeing a sign for all-you-can-eat crab legs, we returned for supper. The food was delicious & service was very friendly! Prices are reasonable, and servings are generous. We will be back!
