I wanted to take advantage of the any topping $10 deal they have going right now, cuz it's pretty decent. I'm disabled though and delivery is extremely expensive (The cost of the pizza I wanted would have been double). I called the Papa John's corporate customer service number, and I asked if I could order a pizza for pickup and then they would bring it out to my car for me If I drove through the store and parked my car in front. The customer service rep told me that was no problem, all I had to do is order my pizza on the app and then call the store when I showed up to get the pizza delivered out to my car for no extra cost. That seemed reasonable enough, I was even going to give the person who delivered the pizza to my car a small tip. The corporate customer service also gave me the phone number to call the store directly.
It was 3:00 a.m. on December 5th btw. After I hung up with the corporate customer service, I decided to call the store just to make sure it was okay with them. I asked The person that answered at their store if I could order my pizza and pay for it in the app And then call them and tell them when I was outside So they could bring the pizza out to me and put it in the car.
THEY SAID IT WOULD MOST LIKELY BE TOO BUSY TO DO THAT WHEN I WANTED TO PICK UP THE PIZZA. So they refused.
I decided to call Little Caesars in Kankakee, and they said they would have no issue with bringing the pizza out to me as long as I called them when I arrived. The pizza was also $1 cheaper at Little Caesars, and the quality was about the same, as well as the toppings. I'm familiar with the taste difference of Papa John's versus Little Caesars as well ( I know what to expect from Papa John's; It definitely isn't my favorite place to locally to order pizza, but the deal was decent, and I wanted to try something different) I was more than happy with the pizza got from Little Caesars and the service was a thousand times better than the service I got from Papa John's; That place will definitely be crossed off my list permanently because i felt that they were being lazy and losing my service because of it).
All in all, I was actually kind of happy that Papa John's treated me like crap because I was more than satisfied with my Pizza from Little Caesars, and their pizza had stuffed crust, And the pizza from Papa John's would not have.

THE WORST experience I've ever had anywhere ever! I accidentally placed my order for the wrong pick up time. Instead of handing me my cold pizza (which would've been ENTIRELY my own problem) the lady told me they threw it out & refused to remake. Yes they refunded the money, but was treated so obnoxiously rude. There's a million other pizza places to choose from, especially around here. ANY other option would be better. This was my first & last experience. I've never been so mad i had to leave my review before leaving the parking lot.

I preordered pizzas to be delivered for a lunch reward for a kindergarten class. The pizza was supposed to be delivered at 11:15. At 11:40 the pizzas were still not there. I called the store and was accused they of being rude because I inquired why they didn’t inform me they didn’t have a delivery driver during the day and were relying on DoorDash. I cancelled the order and asked that my money be refunded.

I called to place a delivery order, and entered my card info into the automated system and then they said my card got declined when I got money in my bank account. The guy hung up on me twice when I am trying to get answers and just get my food delivered. I currently don't have a car and can't go in person. Now they got my money and I got no food. The worst customer service possible. And I tip.
Knowing my luck they are the ones that hacked my last bank card. Once I get my money back I will NEVER do business with these rude and unhelpful people ever again.

This place is a joke I waited in the parking lot for over and hour for 1 medium pizza just for it to never get made and leaving with a refund. Don’t waste your time and go to Domino’s or Monicals

Ordered a large Stuffed crust pizza with Philly steak and extra steak, also with green peppers and not extra onions. Instead received a pizza with sausage green peppers and what seemed like extra onions.
The food is good and the staff are friendly.

If I could give a zero i would worst service ever the door dash driver dropped my order didn't speak English and didn't even bring change that I requested and door dash opened my order and I called the store and spoke with John and told him what happened and he said he was remaking the order so I asked the driver was it remade and the driver even said no so my order was cold and incomplete and opened i will not return

I ordered 5 pizzas through the papa John’s app that were scheduled to be delivered at 10:30pm last night 05-09-2025. At 10:40pm I received a text from a random number saying they were there and sent a picture of some random street. I sent them my location and they said they put the address in wrong. That was the last text I received. I waited another 10 minutes and then called the store to see what was going on. They said “we only have one delivery driver right now, so we had door dash pick up your order to bring it to you” (Which I was confused about because I didn’t order through door dash I ordered through your papa John’s app). They said they would remake my order, because they called door dash and couldn’t get the guy to answer, they assumed he just kept the pizzas. This is now a half hour later from when the pizza was supposed to be delivered. So instead of them having door dash deliver it again, I asked if I could just get my delivery fee back and I would just come in and pick it up instead. They said they could do that. They told me it would be 20 minutes, so I went to pick up and when I got there they said they couldn’t give me any money back, because the general manager would have to be the one to do that. They said “You will need to call in tomorrow to talk with him, but you will need to call tomorrow (Which is today 05-10-2025). Because otherwise he won’t be back in until Wednesday.” So it ended up being an hour late and we finally were able to eat our pizza at 11:30pm last night (05-09-2025).
Today (05-10-2025) I called into the store at 5:55pm I talked with a gentleman that said he was the assistant manager. He said “The general manager was at the store and he would have him call me back when he got back from the store.” Almost an hour later I hadn’t received a phone call back, so I called back into the store at 6:47pm. A guy answered the phone and I said “I called earlier and was told that the general manager was going to give me a call back and I hadn’t heard anything.” He responded saying “This is the general manager, but I don’t take phone calls during dinner hours.” I said “The guy I talked to earlier said you were going to give me a call and they told me last night I could call in and talk with you today”. He said “well you should have called in at 9:30 this morning when I told you to call in, when I talked to you last night” I said “I didn’t talk to you last night” he said “well, when I talked to you a couple of days ago” I said “I haven’t talked to you at all until now, I talked to someone else last night” he said “I don’t have time to argue with you, and then hung up on me”
I bought 5 pizzas and after a $5.99 delivery fee (which I picked up and never even got delivered to me) and $14.03 tip. I spent $79 for pizza that was suppose to be delivered an hour earlier, that I then had to drive to pick up, and then was hung up on by the general manager because he didn’t have time for me. I simply was going to ask for the delivery fee back since I had to pick up the pizza.
I’m not typically one to complain because I understand that accidents happen. But this has been extremely frustrating. I ordered through the papa John’s app for delivery, not door dash….. Which would have avoided this whole situation, but I can’t even get ahold of the general manager to talk with him…

Waited for 15 minutes to get a manger then I was told call back in 30 minutes cause they are busy. Finally after that I was told I can get a free pizza cause my order get mixed up. Was never told there was a time limit on that so when I went to redeem that pizza I was told it wasn't possible. Never wasting my money on this place again.
