Had a donut craving so I took my children to the Pearson's bakery on or around 9/22. I spent 47 dollars on donuts with intention to freeze them. I was extremely disappointed in the taste of the yeast donuts. They tasted like old burned oil. My children under 3 would not eat them they threw them on the floor. I was extremely disappointed. I called the store that day to tell them their donuts tasted like oil. I told them that I understand they're a small business so I didn't want to return them or get any sort of refund. They preceded to tell me they'll contact the chicago heights location where the donuts are made to tell them the problem. This kind of made me more upset because this isn't as small of a business as I thought it was if they're not making donuts at their store and are able to hire an outside company to make the donuts. So needless to say I threw away all the yeast donuts and kept the danishes. I will not buy with Pearson's again.

The prices are very reasonable. The staff was very friendly. Everything was made fresh daily. It's a local bakery in Bradley. Yesterday was my first time going will be returning ?

Most everything is delicious. The 5 cream horns that I bought today hardly had any cream in the middle. They need to do better with those.
Called and ordered a 1/2 sheet atomic cake on 11/13 for pick up on 11/27. Went to pick the cake up and they had no order for it. They questioned if we called the correct location. After showing them call logs for 11/13 when the cake was ordered, they said they did not make the cake because they were waiting to hear back about decorations. I spoke with them twice within 30 minutes when ordering and decorations were confirmed. They then said they didn't have a phone # to contact us about it...the phone # was confirmed when ordering.They were very unapologetic about their mistake and offered no resolution. It is now Saturday night, all bakeries are closed, and we have no cake for a 3 year old's birthday on a Sunday.Next time, I will save myself the headache and spend the extra time driving to Fleckenstein's.
