After seeing the good reviews for Mott’s we came from about a half hour away to eat here. On a Friday night there were just a handful of customers. We sat at the bar and got fast friendly service from Carrie, the bartender. Between three of us we ordered some curds, a couple burgers and the walleye fish fry. Food arrived pretty quick and it was excellent. Nothing fancy but piping hot and clearly cooked with care. Between the great service, awesome food and the overall dive bar nature of Mott’s, we will definitely return. Five stars.

Passing by I saw their sign 'home of Matt's Swamp Water' so I decided to stop and trying it out. When I asked about it the bartender said she didn't know... vodka, orange juice and something else... was what she said. I ordered an old fashioned but would have been better off ordering bourbon on ice with a cherry in it. I'm glad I ordered my cheese burger with everything because without the toppings there was no flavor.

First time visit and it certainly won’t be the last. Charming place in the middle of Burlington farmland, very welcoming people at the bar and we were made to feel comfortable almost immediately. A friend of mine, who lives in the area, suggested the Swampwater and I opted for that. Arrived with an empty stomach so we shared an appetizer. Then we shared a mushroom Swiss burger and then we shared a basket of bluegill so our visit was an eating frenzy and we had an absolute delightful time! Mott’s is on our radar now I’m sorry it took us so long to find it!!!

We will NEVER return to this bar. Beware of the local patrons who get over served and start fights outside as people are leaving. They shout ignorant comments, insults, and provoke problems. The bar staff needs to address people like this before someone gets hurt.
