Pretty bad food. Avoid at all costs unless you like the caustic high salt and high sugar. Vegetarian here. So usually I get whatever side platter there is. 3 sides for the price is a rip off. Should be 4 minimum.
Greens too vinegary and salty. Made my stomach upset. Sweet potatoes are just pure sugar. The mac is barley passable.
When I went inside to the location some manager was there chewing out some staff. Just total disregard for atmosphere.

THIS ISN'T OOOH WEE ANYMORE! This is Harold's Chcken now. Their cheat fries & chicken sandwiches are delicious. The other Harold's don't make these foods at the other branches. They don't have tables for you to sit at. Also this is in Burnham, Illinois. Not Chicago.

It's no longer black owned. The whole atmosphere is off. I walk in and they're playing Mexican music, and a Mexican man walking behind the counter with an attitude. They just got the last $35 from me. I'll be going up the street to Simply Shae. How are you serving soul food to blacks but playing Latino music. It's the audacity for me. No respect. Then don't smile or greet anyone!

Whoever the new owner let me tell you right now you are about to lose customers with your new prices. These new prices gonna hurt you in the end because there is numerous soul food joints in the area that's more affordable and the food tastes better or just as good.
This is my second time ordering from here. The first time they left out two sides. This time they left out a whole meal that I paid for and didn't answer the phone. Just ridiculous!

I was hearing about how this place was the spot to check out. I was highly disappointed. The service was fine. A lil short, but fine. The food however, was ok. Not so that great. My jerk chicken tips were not hot or warm, but in-between. Plus dry! The food that's sitting behind the counter looked like it's been sitting for a couple days. The establishment itself needs a major upgrade. Flies were in the place as well. That was my one and done.

I had a huge order and it was beyond a disappointment. The cat fish was fried hard as rocks, the baked chicken was dry, the green beans were MUSH, yams were large and also hard as rocks, mac and cheese taste old and left over, and the peach cobbler was TERRIBLE. I have been before and encouraged my workmates to try it and this was the result today.
