We had a very nice dinner. Food was homemade and definitely unique flavor profiles. I had prime rib, baked beans, and coleslaw. Wife had pork chops, potatoes, and corn. Baby girl had grill cheese and fries. We were all happy with the food and service. I will say it was perfect for our small family but not big enough for a large party.

Wife and I tried for our first time tonight. She had the pork chop sandwich which came with chips. She said it was cooked to perfection and very juicy. I had the corn beef sandwich with sauerkraut and the homemade horseradish sauce. One of the best. We will definitely be back. Worth the drive from Kankakee.
I love this place, food and service is outstanding. First choice for date night!

Cheryl singlehandedly puts together these great home cooked meals. Off the beaten path for most of us but worth the drive.

I found Grand Prairie Station while traveling home from a funeral in Joliet, IL. I googled best restaurants near me, and boy let me tell you…this was the most amazing place, the food was delicious, but even better was the owner Cheryl. Cheryl was one of the most amazing and kind people I had ever met. Like I told her, I would travel 4 hours just to eat here, but honestly I would travel from anywhere!!!
I’m a regular and there’s a reason. All the food is very good. Breakfast to Dinner and everything in between. The owner is a very nice, personable lady.
