Food was hot. Would have preferred BBQ sauce on my BBQ. A bun would have been cool but I guess George Foreman sandwich maker is preferred there. Service was lacking. Lady was rude as we left and muttered "whatever" under her breath. Server did not return to our table once. Only place in town to eat that's not a gas station. Overall less then pleasant experience and food Fries were the best part. Won't be back anytime soon. Bring back real barbecue! How dare this place call that barbecue. What a bland joke.
I haven't been to shemwells in quite some time. However, the last two Saturdays I have stopped in and had an absolutely perfect meal. It was just like the good old days! Glad to see it going so well.

Got catfish dinner, was decent. But fish tasted like was cooked in old cooking oil. Service was great. Needed working light in ladies restroom
