These people are extremely,lazy,and have terrible customer service skills. We came in 2 days ago to get a birthday cake made they acted as if they only sold prepared display cakes. We also wanted have words inscribed on the cake as well. Their response was that the artist wasn't there. Ok, it takes 2 days for a custom order. Then they to sell us a display cake which isn't not approved by the health association. This place is Racist. They are con artist and they only can do basic cakes. Ace Bakery on 3241 S. Halsted is family oriented and they are patient and they know how to up sell. Ace bakery can do everything. Also those photos are a complete fabrication. They don't have none pictures on their website or in the store. GTFOH !!!!

I referred my daughter starting with a baby shower cake & then 1yr ,3yr, 4yr, & last 5yrs of age only after being over charged the woman threw my money back at me, they were awesome up until then.Now they have lost me & my families business, we do know how to move in another direction PERIOD!!!!

I have ordered from calumet bakery several times, and the cakes are always delicious. Today I picked up a cake, and I was not satisfied with the color. When i ordered the cake I asked for red and white, but the color was more of a deeper burgundy which I didnt like. Without hesitation, and professsionalism the cake was fixed to my liking. The customer service was impecable,and I really appreciate that. I will be back soon. Thanks again!Parking: I have never had a problem with parking

They have you wait in a long line for over 20/30 min just to tell you they don't take any orders after 12. Drive 45min here and waited for
First time I went and ordered their bomb cake for my eldest birthday. I called not even a month later and placed an order for my youngest child's birthday who was turning 1. I went to pick up and they had nit made my cake. The owner came out and said I was supoosed to have paid so far in advance but thwybdidnt tell me that when I placed the order. And I paid at the time of pickup wheb I orderd eldest son's cake 3 weeks prior to that. The owner said well I dont who did that and went on to say they has nee employees as an excuse as to why they didnt tell me about the pay policy. Never apologized. Didnt try to resolve the issue and the owner was very rude about it.I even asked well knowing you have new employees and seeing that an order still hadnt been paid why couldn't you all at least called as a courtesy to the your customer. His response well you supposed to pay in advance. I replied well if I wasn't told that how am I supposed to know. He response was well thats our policy once again. Never been back and I purchase many cakes a year.

I was going here for years and moved 1000 miles away drove back and bought the suppposedly buttered cookies that tasted more like lemon. I bought 2 boxes and had to throw them away. I brought some back for others and they agreed definitively not how they used to be and no kolachkys. I guess I won’t be going back there. It’s a shame. Miss the old one. Actually I miss Stephan’s bakery. However last year when I came to your bakery which I believe cal city bakery bought Stephan’s and you move to Burnham ave last year it was good tasted butter in the cookies not this year. I know what I am tooling about. Cal city bakery on burnham ave.

Bought pumpkin pies from here ; waaaay better than grocery store bought and plan to make it a tradition. The pies were flavorful with a good amount seasonal spices and weren't overly sweet. Look forward to trying their other pies in the future. Definitely recommend!
