Overrated, food was room temperature, over cooked, and took forever. The steak was rubbery and burnt and my egg was greasy! Left with headache and upset stomach!

Norma is the absolute best. She knows her customers, and is attentive. I love dining here. Real food, made by real cooks who care, at a fair price. Thank you, Egg Shack.

Accused me of being “someone who called last week trying to get free food” because I guess the orders were similar . I came in Friday 10/4 and had an order issue. Spoke with someone on Friday and told them I’ll be back in the area on Sunday (today). Called before coming and no one recalled the order and my name wasn’t written down.
The lady manager is the one who made the comment. I think that’s very odd to accuse someone as if you’re a hearing expert and just know how to distinguish voices like ???? It’s a difference if I was in person in your face and you remember me from last week.
Long story short they didn’t fix the issue
Lesson learned : go get order remade same day if you have an issue don’t trust them to write your name in credit book

I had the chicken and waffles. The chicken was nice n crispy; the Imperial coffee was really good. A pleasant change from folgers so the food was really good. Been wanting to hit this joint up for years every time I take a ride to the heights. There's not too many of these breakfast joints left; so support this business. I would love to sit at a counter facing the kitchen to really have that old-school diner feel!

Food was hot, tasty, and quick to be delivered to table. Outside looks rundown but inside was fairly nice. We sat at a booth by the window. The windowsill had a couple of dead flies and some food remnants on it. The booth seat felt like it had a spring or two broken. The service was great and fast.

Parking: Parking lot is full of potholes but there are enough spaces to find a spot to park.

I have eaten at this place years ago and it was good and now it is terrible. I had a basic breakfast, two eggs, sunny side up with grits and cheese, the grits where cold and the cheese would not melt in the grits and the pancake where like rubber. there were four of us and everyone complained

Real nice spirit of the moment experience. Imma road runner, so I ended up in CHI for the wknd. It's been quite a few yrs since I've been up around this side. But after living down south for so long, I've been deprived of that good old mama kitchen stove breakfast..??..that's what this place brought bk to me! All the reason why I miss living in Philly from time to time. Don't get me wrong, I love the South, but hands down when it comes to homestyle cooked food, yeah, the north side is number one all day. Turkey links, cheese eggs, grits cooked to perfection ? not runny, nor thick to where it sticks to ur utensil. Everyone had a pleasant attitude. The storefront may throw u a bit, but take that step inside, and you'll come out satisfied. Imma trucker, so I advise any other drvrs to park nearby if u can. It's not suitable for trlrs at all. Other than that all around, it was just what I was looking for. I give compliments to all the staff personnel they have that warm welcoming home attitude and personality I'm used bk home. Thanks, ladies. My go-to whenever I'm in this area!
