We are ‘doing’ Route 66 and came to Carlinville. It’s a lovely little town and we went to Uptown Tavern for a drink. We were made to feel very welcome by the coupler that run it. The bar is very authentic - just like our old pubs in the UK - and very charming.
If you are in the area, call in. You won’t regret it!

Traveling through for a quick stop of drinks and food. Unfortunately they aren’t open at 10am but 11am. The food selection is a great mix of fresh food. Delicious food and reasonably priced for cocktails as well. Amazing service and safe environment. Thank you.

Atmosphere was great and very relaxing, bartender was fast and very nice and had us laughing. Drinks were great. Kitchen was already closed when we came in. We’ve heard great things about the food so hopefully we can come back soon when kitchen is open to try it out.
