One of my favorite places! I'm from out of town but when I'm in Carlinville, the Wood Duck is a must! Great food and staff! Warm and friendly atmosphere!

I'm a Carlinville native but this is the first time I've eaten at the Wood Duck. It was fantastic! So sorry I've been missing out!
My wife, daughter, grandson, and I had lunch at the Wood Duck on January 18th. The food was wonderful. I would recommend anything on the menu. I've had the Voodoo chicken wings, and they were delicious. They have wraps, sandwiches, burgers, horseshoes, and much more. The sides are priced separately, but they're worth it. The place has a wonderful, friendly atmosphere, and is very kid friendly. My family is very choosy about eating out; so if they like the food it has to be good. I'll be back soon. Keep up the good work.Kid-friendliness: My grandson needed a high chair, and they were very accommodating. Being only a year old, he was messy, but the staff was very understanding about his needs. One can tell when wait staff likes kids.
The pepper jack cheese bites were excellent! Four of us got double cheeseburgers, flavor was good, smaller than bun, and a little too thick in middle, and stacked sloppy, had to take apart and fix. Could of been a relished night there was a large party there. Definitely will go back, the flavor was still worth it!

The food here is epic great wings and the ranch dressing is awesome! Cold beer and bar tenders are fun and quick! Everything we have ever eaten here has been great!
Food was amazing! I had the kamikaze grilled cheese and the pulled port was excellent! Well worth the stop.

I tried the “Oklahoma Smash Burger”. IT WAS DELICIOUS!!! I didn’t include the onion though. Added sweet potato fries as a side and they were fantastic too!

We were in Carlinville to visit the Broom Orchard and wanted to get lunch somewhere, not fast food. We used Google and found The Wood Duck. It was a busy Saturday afternoon but the food was great and the service was good despite how busy the bar was. Would definitely eat there again when in the area.
