Chicago Fish and Chicken

I wandered in here after making the wrong turn. I was prepared to go home after my 20,000 steps and responsibly drink my protein shake for dinner before I saw the restaurant sign. Thoughts of fried chicken (my weakness) and fried fish (another weakness) lured me inside. I did note that all the customers and servers were men. Several folks were at the gaming machines. The dining room was immaculate and contained two big TVs as well. I ordered the 4 piece wing meal and was told it would be 15 minutes. One of the staff brought my meal to the table. The wings were large, perfectly fried, with a crisp, flaky delicious breading and tender meat. I almost burned myself eating them, they were so good. I dipped them in blue cheese dressing (sauces are ordered separately at 50 cents each). I wish the dressing had chunks of blue cheese in it. The french fries were plump, golden, large but not too large crispy on the outside and meaty on the inside. The coleslaw was also delicious and the cabbage in it tasted fresh and crunchy. An absolute steal of a meal for the price. They also have four kinds of fried fish, many flavors of cake slices for dessert and coffee too. I suspect I will be back.

Great food, cooked to order. Fair prices and good portions! Generous handful of lightly coated, crispy fries with each meal. Their Buffalo Wings are now the best in the area: huge, perfectly cooked, and still juicy after a 15-minute drive home.

So. Much. Food. 3 legs and 3 thighs for $7.99. Good and juicy chicken. Light breading. Clean restaurant. Very good place for chicken. It takes 15 minutes to get your order. It comes HOT. Many came in for pick up while we were there.

I absolutely love this place. Very good quality food, the mild sauce is always a must. Also; the place is super clean and the staff is very friendly and attentive. Prices are on point. I need to try more of the menu, but so far so good.

Food was good ?.. takes a little time because it's fresh .. but great favor ?

Maybe the best fried cod I've ever had. Clean tasting, crispy. Wings are excellent too. I don't even like tartar sauce but their's is good.

Got codfish and chicken combo. Spent $15. Very over priced in my opinion. Could’ve spent less at kfc and had a much better meal. Both the fish and chicken was mainly batter and the batter wasn’t even seasoned well. Fish and chicken were both dry. Over fried or just not fresh- either way - tasted dry. Only thing good was the fries. Coleslaw was also as basic as you can get. Give it to you a small condiment cup.

This place has very good food, living in chicago we don’t have many places out here that taste like city food. I always order the cat fish fillets which is always fresh made to order. My only problem is when I ask for xtra lemon pepper it don’t seem to be on there. To the owner, please make selling the lemon pepper on the side an option when the customer orders. Not sure why this is a NO when asked.

First time here.. this place is a must for chicken. Got the wings and the white meat chicken meal. The pieces are huge and we definitely had to take the leftovers home. The Buffalo sauce with Bleu cheese is the most amazing sauce ever!!! Only tip: high chairs needed, had to have my toddler sit on my lap. However we will definitely be back.

The food was great(BBQ boneless wings and Cod nuggets), would definitely get both again. The service was great and friendly, the sitting area is very clean.From a family perspective, having high chairs available and water cups with lids would make it a 5 star experience.

Finally a good chicken spot close by!!! It beats Heralds hands down. I had the 8pc whole wings crunchy and cooked perfectly.Homemade Ranch! I knew it right when I tasted it. I also liked the Asian zing.All you Heralds and Uncle Remus lovers, give this place a shot, it’s worth it in my opinion.

Chicago Fish and Chicken restaurant is in you establishment. I have been informed by family then the food was good. I went on a Saturday and was able to sit down and eat in a nice clean restaurant. The food was great, the fish was tasteful and fresh!! The only drawback from my platter was that they want to give you a slice of bread with your entree. I think it would be much better if they provided freshly-made biscuits. Other than that, I do recommend the place for fish. I will be trying their chicken next time I go.

The food was so fresh and Good! We tried the Tilapia, Catfish and Cod Dinners. Nice portions and Great flavor. New to the area and will definitely refer and return! The woman who took our phone order was very polite and our whole LARGE order was correct! Let's talk about the coleslaw! Delicious! Great job guys!

I’m so happy I have an actual Chicago style eatery close by. The staff and owner are really nice and friendly. Great attitudes towards customers. The food is always fresh, hot, and delicious. For those that enjoy slots ? and sip?, it’s offered also. I hope you enjoy the food ? ?

Great place, huge portions and friendly atmosphere. We ordered the jumbo shrimp, the boneless chicken wings, hush puppies and fried okra. Everything was great and the rest of the menu looks promising too. Can’t wait to come back and try more items . Check it out if you haven’t you won’t regret it.
