“I had such a fantastic experience at Ethio Beans! If you love bold flavors, rich traditions, and warm hospitality, you need to check this place out.
We started with sambussa, which came with a flavorful dipping sauce (I think it was awaze), and it was delicious! For our main meal, we got two veggie combos with injera, misir wot (spiced lentils), alicha wot (mild stew), gomen (collard greens), and cabbage, plus a side of alicha potatoes with carrots. Everything was perfectly seasoned, and the misir wot was my favorite! We nearly finished the whole platter, but what we took home was just as good the next day.
One of the best parts of the experience was the Ethiopian coffee, which they served with burning incense—not only did it smell amazing, but it was also the best coffee I’ve ever had. I also ordered Ambo water, and the owner smiled and said, “Ah, you know!” which made me feel like I really knew what I was doing. 😆
They also have a small shop next door full of Ethiopian spices, groceries, and traditional servingware, which was such a cool surprise!
If you’re looking for incredible Ethiopian food and a welcoming atmosphere, I highly recommend Ethio Beans! Can’t wait to go back—next time, I have to decide if I get the coffee again or try the tea! ☕“
