Food is tasty, service is phenomenal and the owners Marilou & Ernie are Welcoming and Great! They seem to care about their customers and building those long lasting relationships with the Filipino community, Sometimes I feel like I am actually a part of their family like a nephew or something! ? I must say, Enjoying my meal while OPM is playing, makes me feel like I’m in the phillipines! Sir Lakay the head chef and kuya Chan really know how to throw down in the kitchen! Some of My favorite dishes are the Crispy Binagoongan, Pancit Sotanghon(on the dry side with extra lemons! I like my pancit Maasim) Pinakbet, Chicken Inasal with Java and the Crispy Pata Kare-Kare with bagoong on the side for that savory, satisfying, crunchy, salty bite! Ate Gina who works in the bar is super awesome too! She is always fun to talk to with a good sense of humor and positive outlook on life she makes the best and prettiest looking desserts! Sometimes when I dine I get to see Jovi I think he also goes by Jmic and Carl those guys are cool! ? what I love the most about Hong Ning is how they are very family oriented, you feel at home when you come to dine with your friends and families. I’ve tried other Filipino restos in Chicago, and trust me I will always without a doubt love Hong Ning the most, It’s also super cool how many famous Filipino artistas have dined in there so far including myself! Charot, by the way you have to try their Chomporado made by Mae! The rice has a unique texture to it and the chocolate is decadent! Yeah yeah sure sure!

Hong Ning is mom's new favorite Filipino restaurant! So we celebrated her birthday with about a dozen family members. Lots of different dishes at reasonable price. Some dishes were tasted and eaten for the first time! All enjoyed the food!

Filipino food is gaining in popularity outside of California, Hawaii, and New York --- it has more of presence in Chicago now. Thank goodness for that because I am still learning how to cook the recipes of my family! When I am in the Chicago area, my family loves to meet at Hong Ning. The food is really good and I'm not just saying that. I am VERY picky because of the wonderful cooks in my family. Dishes that we frequently order include Pork Lumpia Shanghai (aka tiny Filipino egg rolls), Lechon Kawali, BBQ Skewers, Adobo, Pinakbet, Kare Kare, Crispy Sisig, Pancit Bihon, and Palabok. For dessert, it is usually the Halo Halo and Leche Flan. As an American-born Filipina, my faves are the Lumpia Shanghai, Adobo, and Palabok. I could eat those all day long! The service is fast and friendly. I don't think my mom has any patience for less than that! Needless to say, she is always a happy customer here. Filipinos are very family-oriented (and food-oriented LOL) which makes this Hong Ning a perfect place for a family luncheon. It gets a little loud (if you know Filipinos - this makes sense), but no one minds. I highly recommend Hong Ning whenever you crave Filipino food!

food was great, the chicken adobo was my favorite. staff were polite and the atmosphere was just fine. the only problem i had though was the hard bone fragments i found in the adobo. there were pieces of chicken bone scattered throughout; accidentally swallowed one of them and it hurt. there were even smaller pieces that i accidentally bit into. however, the food tastes great but i would be careful with the adobo if you’re concerned about swallowing potential choking hazards ?

Food was ok, less item on the menu unlike before. If you're looking for typical Filipino food this is your place. Average service and wait time.

Order the barbecue chicken skewers each time and each time they’re amazing. This is a place easily passed over because it’s tucked in a corner of a plaza but the food is delicious. I look forward to trying new menu items but every time I order the same thing! Right behind Starbucks on north avenue.

Went to Carol Stream for business. My wife and I decided to eat in the area and found this Filipino restaurant so we ate here. It was a nice ambience with a lot of Filipino decor on the walls. We ordered Crispy Sisig and Crispy pork binagoongan and it was delicious. The food tasted like home and I would order these dishes again next time we're in the area. Thanks you to the staff that delivered us great customer service.
