Today at lunchtime I went into La Huerta Norte planning to eat there. However, I noticed a couple eating with a small dog that was clearly not a service animal. Since they serve tacos and other food, I asked the cashier if dogs are allowed inside. She said “no,” which made it even more concerning. I decided to leave and won’t be returning, even though I’ve always liked getting their masa.
The food is so good that I can eat the hole store lol
The most authentic and amazing quality of Mexican food, also offering Colombian dishes and other Hispanic cuisines! From fresh produce to specialty spices, everything feels just like home. Their bakery has incredible pan, and the butcher shop always has top-notch cuts of meat. I also appreciate the convenience of their services like money transfers, check cashing, and bill payments—makes it a one-stop shop for the community. The staff is always friendly and helpful, creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere every time I visit. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a true taste of Latin food!
I stopped in for lunch today. Super nice and helpful staff! Amazing food! I asked about getting food for an upcoming party, they were more than willing to help! No need to look any further for great tacos! They’re here! Perfectly seasoned! Jimmy k
The staff were very rude to me when I came in and asked for assistance in finding a couple of things. They claimed that they didn't speak English, then walked away, ignoring me. All of my friends will definitely be told not to come here.
The weekend tamales are of the hook , must have . A bit pricy but totally worth it wort it
This has a small but out of this world café with authentic Mexican food and on weekends, they have fresh tamales and Carnitas at reasonable prices
There are dead bugs littered near the windows. Are you sure you want to buy food from here?
Everything clean and tidy
Hit or miss, i send in my partner who is Hispanic because when i go in they all treat me and look at me like a white person cant be there. We don't get chicken from there, its always spoiled, their chorizo is the best. Prices are expensive but what little convient stores prices arent. If the staff were nicer i would give more stars but the ladies are rude.

My mom went to go buy ground beef at this little market. We got home and as she opened it, it had a sour smell. We decided to still cook it to see if the sour smell would go away. And it didn’t. They gave us rotten meat. We were so disappointed and couldn’t believe they sell their customers rotten meat. My mom mentioned to me that it’s not the first time it happened, but she felt embarrassed to return it. I got so mad, I called them and told them they gave us rotten meat. So they told us to bring the meat to them and show them. So my mom and I went back to show them. And they had the nerve to argue with my mom that it wasn’t rotten. We showed it to the guy at the deli, and specifically it was him who was arguing to my mom , telling her and trying to convince her that it wasn’t. He made my mom feel like she was being too special about the quality of the meat she wanted, when all we wanted was fresh meat not rotten! The guy at the deli was so rude to my mom, super bad customer service. Will never go back, and to those who buy deli there I would suggest not to.
Great food. The best chicharrón en salsa verde around.
