Manhattan's American Bar & Grill

Bartender does not know how to make drinks. Ordered a muddled/pressed Brandy Old Fashioned that came without any Brandy, orange slice, or cherry. Had to send it back. Ordered a Kahlua and Cream that came with plain milk. When I questioned it, I was told they ran out of cream. (I know the difference. Unbelievable how sneaky they are). Again, I refused the 2nd drink. Only the French Onion Soup is to die for. Both the Beef Stroganoff and the Pot Roast gravy were so salty it was inedible after a few bites which would explain the 7 glasses of water I needed. I sincerely won't be back.

Doesn’t look like much from the outside, but when you go in—welcome to a nice, classic “supper club” atmosphere. All of the food is good. It’s one of the largest, most extensive menus I’ve ever seen. Great for a family birthday or occasion, or just a weeknight dinner. They have live music that is really enjoyable with couples dancing. You can also just sit and drink/eat at the bar and watch sports. Your call. Casual or dressed up, you won’t feel out of place.

I’ve come here twice. Both times I was impressed with the quality of the food and how efficient the staff were.

Manhattan’s Bar & Grill is a rare gem in the suburbs of Chicago. It’s a blend of a fun local dive bar but with quality/attentive staff and solid restaurant food.

You’ll always be surprised by its fun food and drink related deals.

This place has quite a lot going for it! They are very easy to find with Google Maps. It’s right off of Schmale just south of north ave in Carol Stream. It has ‘round the building parking. They have a dedicated dining room and a very long bar with window seating as well as outdoor seating. Their food is great! They also have a slot machine room and a variety of entertainment options throughout the week including live music and trivia! They also do Xtreme Bar Bingo every Tuesday at 7 which is what I was there for tonight. It is free to play bingo and you can win prizes ANd cash! That was awesome. I highly recommend this place for a fun night out, a quick gambling trip or just great food and atmosphere!

One of our favorite restaurants! The soups are SO flavorful! Lentil Chorizo is our fave. Breakfast (weekends only) is better than any breakfast place in the area! Super friendly staff! Great happy hour prices!!

I went there with a group of people. They had some food & drink specials. We went on a Monday which had live music. The music was very good with a variety of songs. We even danced a little. We will definitely be going back.

Wonderful place to host an event. Today’s bridal shower went off without a hitch thanks to their tremendous staff and wonderful food. Management was very accommodating. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Food was mediocre at best. Told our server twice about the poor meal and never even offered to get something else or even send a manager by. If you dine here...stay away from the shrimp tacos. $120 for food that was not much better than Denny's.
