Red Apple Pancake House

Ate here on a Tuesday, late morning. I had slept through breakfast and had an early afternoon meeting so I ordered a Popeye skillet with pancakes on the side, plus coffee and ice water. WARP speed food service! Excellent food, and really, 2x as much as I could eat. Big, fluffy pancakes, delicious skillet, perfect coffee. I will definitely be back.

Our waitress Amy was amazing! The steak and hash browns were bland. It could have used a little more seasoning. Portion sizes were good. Overall, decent brunch spot.

Places like Red Apple Pancake House are part of what I like to call the quintessential suburban experience.

A thriving and bustling breakfast/lunch place at the near border of Carol Stream/Wheaton, Red Apple is a venerable and venerated establishment that has been around for ages.

Stepping in a little after 11am on a Sunday, it comes as no surprise that the atmosphere was genial, pleasant, and full of the hum of people enjoying delicious meals of varying types.

My server was a kind, friendly, and polite individual, easy to talk to, and sold me on the large cup of hot chocolate I had before my meal arrived. The ratio of whipped cream to hot chocolate (as seen in my photo) was tremendous, and I loved it.

As for my meal, I dined on the Irish Skillet, which looked great, smelled great, and was delicious. There was so much on my plate that I had to get a box for the leftovers.

Red Apple Pancake House is an absolute gem. Everyone there was friendly, the food and atmosphere were wonderful. I will be making it a point to visit here again soon and wholeheartedly recommend this place to everyone.

This place is truly a gem! I can't tell you how many times I've driven by and thought, I should totally try this place! Today was the day and I'm so glad we did!

First, let's talk about the service! April was our waitress today and she was fantastic! She went above and beyond! Answered all our questions, brought out a little snack for our little one while we waited for our food. Just so great!

The food was wonderful! Diner like and what you'd expect quality wise. Big portions and overall delish!

Overall the place is great and we will definitely be back!!

The food is amazing. Definitely well worth the money. The portions are big and you better have an appetite when you visit! It gets busy so be prepared to wait if you don't get there before the rush. If you do have to wait it definitely worth it. One of my families favorite breakfast places to visit when they are in town. If you have never been you definitely should go!
