Food is good people are nice my only complaint is price i got 4 steak tacos 3.50 each and 2 handmade Quesadilla they're so good WORTH 9 dollars each It was 42.44 so taxes are 10 bucks im confused

The food was okay. The gorditas and sopes were really good. Although, the burrito was a mess. We got a lengua burrito with everything and basically we got a lettuce burrito. Hardly any meat and mostly cheese and lettuce. Not good. Be sure to order lettuce on the side. The service was good and the staff was nice. Would return but only for gorditas and sopes.

Horchata is the best!!! Great customer service.

Juanita’s Restaurant is an absolute delight! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm hospitality and a spotless dining area—always a great first impression. But let’s talk about the real star of the show: the food!🤤🤤

We indulged in a steak torta dinner, a Mexican steak dinner, and a steak taco, each bite bursting with authentic flavor. The steak was perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection— To wash it all down, we enjoyed refreshing horchata and limonada, both perfectly balanced and just what we needed.

And because we clearly couldn’t get enough, we left with two bags of chicharrones de harina—because why not keep the deliciousness going at home?

Between the amazing food, top-notch service, and clean, welcoming atmosphere, Juanita’s is a must-visit. If you haven’t been yet, do yourself a favor and go—you’ll thank me later!

This place has very good burritos and tortas. If you grew up in Elgin in the 90s, their steak burritos and lengua tortas taste similar to la tremenda on the corner of bluff city. Their red salsa is pretty close if not the same. Brings back memories of that place. Highly recomend

The lady has the worst attitude of all, as if she was doing us a favor.
Food definitely horrible, saggy, no flavor. Plus my order was wrong.
Wouldn't come here again and I advise you to also don't buy from here.

Here it seems that they open and close whenever they want. According to what it says on their page, they are open at 9am but you call and no one answers, and when they do answer they tell you that they are not making food. What a ridiculous place, just like the lady who answers the phone, Bulgarian and poorly educated. I'd rather go to the taqueria on the corner than shop here.

I used to love coming to this place. The food used to be awesome. Just didn't taste like it used to. Not so awesome any more. The food portions where a lot smaller then before. Call it shrinkflation, but for the price you pay here for the small food portions you get, the food portions need to be more. You need to figure it out in order to get back to where you once where with your food. Sorry, just not the same at all.

Best menudo made in the suburbs. It’s very difficult to find good menudo anywhere. We usually go into the city to find good menudo until we found Juanitas. The best menudo in the suburbs hands down. You wont be able to find another great spot for menudo. The menudo does tend to be on the spicy side which for us is good. We just take our menudo to go so for the service I can’t give a five stars. By the time I went in I don’t believe the atmosphere or the customer service are as good as their menudo.

This restaurant is a true gem! The atmosphere is vibrant and welcoming, perfect for any occasion. The staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a fantastic experience, and their knowledge of the menu was impressive. The food was absolutely divine – each dish was expertly prepared and bursting with flavor. The attention to detail in both presentation and taste is remarkable. I can’t wait to return and try more from their menu. A well-deserved five stars!

Amazing food and we’ve always loved it here. But today was not the first time we’ve showed up during business hours, open signs all lit up, and the doors locked… kind of annoying never knowing when they’ll be there. 6:30pm on a Saturday I didn’t think we’d have any issue. Saw another car pull up and be disappointed as well. Not good for business.
