Chicken was straight out of the fryer. Breading was well seasoned. Loved the corn bread and collard greens as well. Mac and cheese was pretty good. I spoke with a staff member over the phone to check the status of my order and the person was very friendly. Overall, nice staff and a hearty meal.

Finally was able to eat here. Delicious! We had the catfish dinners and I ordered a pepper and egg sandwich to go. The catfish was perfect. The collard greens were excellent!!! And the mac and cheese was great too! The owner was very friendly. Loved learning about her journey to opening Tangie’s . Will definitely go back for the fish, eggs and to try other items on the menu. Thank you!

If you live up north in the Crystal Lake/Algonquin area, Tangies is the best fried chicken in the area hands down. Chicken is always juicy & cooked to order, never sitting in some heat lamp getting dry and stale. Chicken is well seasoned (might be the only seasoned chicken up north unfortunately) and you can never go wrong with the wings or the dark meat.
