Visited the Grand Marais Lighthouse Restaurant with my mentor and friend, her absolute favorite place for fish! She’s such a regular that the staff know her by name. Parking was plentiful and easy, and the fish was fresh and flavorful. A spot that’s worth a visit if you’re in the area.

It was Friday fish fry and they were packed. Hats off to Kisha (with an I) for great service. I had the catfish filet platter with onion rings and fried okra. My partner had fried shrimp with onion rings and spaghetti. Large portions and cooked to perfection. $5 well drinks. Atmosphere is a bit dated.

Very Disappointed: Here is why two stars..On yesterday which was Nov 9,2024. I ordered a Jack plate which came with two sides. My sides chosen, was spaghetti and okra. I did not want potato salad, but instead of spaghetti there was potato salad, if you run out of a particular side..Then don't include another side unless specified in order, because the customer ordering on line can then get his/her money back if they don't receive what they paid for. Next, a catfish nugget plate, in which fries and onion rings were chosen for its side order. And a separate side order of these slim like fried potatoes. Here is the most huge problem for me, 1 small PKG, of condiment was in that huge bag. Which included, a ketchup, a hot sauce, and I believe maybe a tarter sauce.. With my order, should have come with at least six ketchups and 6 hotsauce and napkins, no napkins, not one, adding condiments will always add up in points given.. One absolute good thing that is a plus, is your order will be sealed.

The place is ok we had a family event here and the floors were very sticky.

Delicious. I go there for the fish and Soul Food Sundays. The staff is amazing. The food is always hot. The dishes are plentiful. You will definitely be full and satisfied. You can’t go wrong by patronizing this establishment.

Big shout out to Grand Marais Lighthouse restaurant owner, cook, and hostesses on yesterday (January 14) for opening their doors to accommodate my sister, Georgette's birthday dinner. Were they was going to close because of weather, staffing and shortage of food due to a big party the night before they opened their doors for us. Food was delicious with only 1 cook, service was exceptional with only 2 hostesses and they got all our orders correct in a timely matter. I thank you for your hospitality and everything you did to make our eating experience great. Can't wait to get Soul Food Sunday back because my church, North End M.B.Church, 463 N. 88th Street, E. St. Louis will be there again. Oh I'll be there for some good Jack fish this Friday too. From a satified customer, Stephanie

The live music and great food really makes summer time easy to enjoy. The cold beer and awesome cocktails that are served there also is a plus. Thanks Lighthouse Restaurant for a good time!

Beautiful place, and well manicured grounds. However, the outside terrace could use a coat of paint, but that doesn't take away from the overall impression or decision to return.
