Applebee's Grill + Bar

Wife really wanted to recreate the country song so we went the other day. Food was great, service was a little slow at times but to be expected since no one wants to work customer service right now. That said our waitress was friendly and working as hard a she could. Food came quickly, staff was friendly, we were seated fast so overall great time.

Honestly by far the worst experience we have had at ANY restaurant. The blonde pregnant manager was a joke! The food was awful. Flys flying all over our food in the middle of fall? The poor server his name was Tyler was over worked and overwhelmed the only server in the whole restaurant and zero help from his manager. He was apologetic and genuinely concerned about our experience but he is not Superman.

Friday October 5, we checked in at the Applebee’s near Best Buy in Champaign, Il. We were told the wait time was 25 minutes, they took my number and said they’d call. They call but it just rang once. We got out of the car and went in. The hostess tried to tell us there was a wait, but I interrupted her and said she call me, and told her my name. I was told that the call didn't go through so they cancelled my hold. I told her she just called and proceeded to show that I had a call from them. She still said the call didn't go through and my name was removed from the list but I could be added to it again.Horrible customer service. We turned around and walked out. I gave them one star because I couldn't go any lower!

I have never on my life waited 20 minutes for my drink order to be taken, and I've never had to wait more than 10 minutes for our server to bring back our first round of drinks unless we ordered from the bar and tonight we didn't. So we walked out. I saw our server across the restaurant, told him that we were leaving and why, he just shrugged his shoulders. This is one of the worst displays of customer service I have ever seen from a server. We will never return to this location.

This Applebee’s only received 1 star because that’s the only way to enter this review! Today I visited this location and the male worker said their kitchen was closed and bo guarded the aisle. I should’ve said I need to use the restroom and I’m sure I would’ve been asked to leave. I’ve never been to this location before but I don’t believe it was a kitchen issue because the worker would’ve been apologetic. I’d never refer anyone there and I like Applebee’s which is why I chose this restaurant to visit while in a new city. I’m glad Indiana shows hospitality. This location is a disappointment and I hope they close down. Evil will only cause your business failure. Change your staff! Corporate should know about this and pull the video!Follow Up: The store manager called me immediately and spoke with her staff. The manager reviewed the video, and offered me a gift certificate so I went back to the location. The young man apologized and I told him thank you.

Best. Service. Ever. Both the host and server were extremely accommodating. We asked to sit outside and, even though they really weren’t serving outside, they bent over backwards to accommodate us - even bringing out an umbrella so we wouldn’t have to sit in the sun. The good was standard Applebee’s so nothing special there. Given our awesome experience we will definitely return! Thank you Terrance and KJ!

Lots of seating available, food came out on time, and very kind service from Terrence! Some Applebee's franchises can be hit or miss, but the food here was spectacular. It made lunch with my family very enjoyable. I would definitely dine here again.

The service was slow. Our bread sticks were so hard you needed to cut them with a knife. The fries taste old. It was an overall poor experience

Didn't feel welcomed by the staff. Left the restaurant without a dinner. Probably never going back there again!

One of the best dining experiences we have had lately. Fast service, food was delicious, only draw back was fries were a little cold, overall was a nice lunch.

They seem to be having issues finding people to work at this location (just like many other places across the United States since the institution of covid universal basic income) but they seem to get carry out orders out pretty quickly and they’re currently only seating 8 tables at a time so they can keep up with the work load. In my experience the staff they do have has been great I like the people working here. Call ahead and if their is a long wait time consider ordering to go or through Grubhub.

We love Applebee's ? ?No wait time at 5pm only 8 tables full. A little chilly so bring a jacket if you get cold easily. Great food with great people!

We go to Applebee’s about once a year to try and see if it’s any better. This time I thought I had covid because of there was no flavor..

During our visit with our grandchildren we were greeted by rap music playing louder than most restaurants. This seemed unacceptable for a family restaurant. The food came out one plate at a time although the were very understaffed. 2 stars because the food was fine.

The food was great but I ate the decorative celery on the classic combo and it definitely tasted like decorations...
