This is the 3rd time we have been for lunch and the service is very slow... server never shows up to the table .. I have to run them down to get any attention.. finally had to ask hostess to find the server... and it is not that busy!! Very disappointing... has happened each of the three times I have been to Baxter's for lunch

It was a good service the server we had was amazing and kind. He knew to be attentive to the table but also give us space enough to enjoy ourselves as well. Food was good as well as the drinks.

We had a great waitress. It was a little cold in there for my taste. The customers behind us were loud and talking about stuff. I would not talk out in public, at least not at a restaurant, but I guess we were sitting in the bar area so they felt it was OK.

First time dining here. We are from Manitoba, Canada and our hotel front desk clerk recommended Baxters for our wedding anniversary. We were not disappointed. Our server's name escapes me but it started with an M....Marianna maybe? She was bubbly and fun and polite and all the things. Food was divine. The flourless chocolate cake was the best I've ever had! Not sure we will be back in Illinois but if we do return Baxters is on our list to visit!

A great special occasion dinner, food was well prepared, innovative, and timely on a very busy night. I had made the reservation 3 months prior, I wish the hostess could see that— they tried to seat us in the bar and weren't totally pleased when we asked to be seated in the dining room. But all turned out well and was a great evening.

Mother's Day brunch was superior to any brunch I've ever attended. The food was delicious and the presentation was immaculate. Our server was wonderful and so attentive. The drinks were perfect for the occasion. I will be booking again next year for Easter and mother's Day!

We celebrated a friend's birthday and we picked the right place! Our food was delicious and we had such great service from Makayla. We had a memorable night and we loved everything from the strawberry coconut margaritas to the ribeyes and desserts!

Everything was wonderful. Our appetizer was delicious. Calamari was tender and tasty. Salad was so good. And, the steaks were fantastic. One of the best I've had. Thank you!

We enjoyed celebrating two birthdays this evening and the service, food were fantastic. We had a reservation and we were seated right on time! I definitely would return to try more dishes. The ribeye was delicious along with steak tacos, and steak kabob. Drinks and beer were great too. Service was well-timed and very friendly.

Another wonderful meal at my favorite C-U restaurant. We were seated at a booth near the bar so a bit noisier than usual. Excellent service, excellent food, great menu (including many GF options), & reasonable prices. Bravo!

The best food, the best service, the best drinks, the best atmosphere, the best lighting nice and dim just the way i prefer. You can go in a jogger suit or a suit and tie and won't feel out of place. Coming from Chicago with top quality restaurants, this is one of the best restaurants I've been to. Thank you. Will be returning soon until I order everything on that menu!!
