We enjoyed the entrees filet tips w gnocchi and prime rib. Varied menu. Service was prompt and responsive on a busy Saturday night. We were seated at a booth in the bar area with a view of the TVs which explains why it was louder than in the dining room. We would return if in the area.

Great meal at Baxter's! The bartender and server were excellent. Professional and friendly and very helpful with selections. Shockingly well stocked bar! Really excellent wine list that pairs well with the menu. This place is an underrated gem. Only negative, the macaroni & cheese side, while excellent, has too much nutmeg. Love it, but here, less is more.

I have been to Baxters in Bloomington but not Champaign. Met for a business lunch and had a cup of soup and a barbecue chicken salad. Both were very good and great place for a business lunch

We're there for the Ohio State game so I know they were busy but......I ordered the Filet Tip Gnocchi I wouldn't ordered that again. The gnocchi was tough, I didn't like the red meat with the gnocchi either-didn't seem like a good fit. We would've ordered dessert and more drinks but we couldn't find our waiter.
Great food, but some food is definitely a step above other food options. Great date spot, especially with Wednesday specials

Celebrated my birthday there and there was a band outdoors on the patio but ate inside after listening to some jazzy-dinner music for a bit that was quite pleasant! The cocktails and wine was great, the service was efficient and our entrees were superb! I loved my twice baked potato and my Baxter salad. My daughter’s brussel sprouts were good too! Lots of sides to pick from ! The complimentary gooey cake was delicious! I had a fabulous birthday dinner with my family!

A slow Monday night should not end up being a two hour dinner because the waiter couldn't bring the check out for over 45 minutes. This is the second time that we have waited longer than our entire meal for the check to come out.
