Food is delicious and generally higher quality than some other local restaurants of this type. The servers are very friendly and helpful. The only negatives for us personally is that it gets very loud when students are back in town, and the parking lot pavement is broken with sunken spots and potholes.
Top tier chips and salsa in the area and they also have the widest selection of taco sauce and hot sauce selection. The food was only average, however. The Alex tacos were their special but I didn't feel that too much other than they had ground pork. The puerco en chipotle was labeled spicy but didn't have the kick, just like the heat level that you'd expect for a chipotle. The best flavor I had was actually from the mole sauce on the chicken tamale.
Margaritas by hand were excellent as well as the food and service. New favorite maxican restaurant in champaign/Urbana area. Steak, chicken tacos and black beans were fresh with 0 complaints. Will be back!
