Wonderful service, great food, lively atmosphere. On a Tuesday night the place was hoppin'! Great way to celebrate a birthday.
We had a birthday party with 7 high school girl friends (all seniors). Everything was delightful. We all commented on how good the service was, as was the food. The chef, Zach, stopped by the table a couple times and was so personable. Cara, the hostess, was wonderful in helping arrange our party. It was so a nice evening.
We just love Hamilton Walker's! Everything about it is fantastic! Cocktails, bread, and butter, dinner, and dessert! From top to bottom, including weight, staff and host... It is always superb! So happy to have been back to enjoy it!
The food and service was excellent. I received the food the way I expected. Service was very friendly and on top of everything.
Great service, food quality high, served hot. Good bread and a fabulous bourbon sour! We are regulars.
We have had several excellent meals at Hamilton Walker's during our son's time at the University of Illinois and so chose the restaurant to celebrate his graduation. As usual the food was excellent, the service attentive, the drinks well crafted, the atmosphere was comfortable, and well-appointed. It was easy to talk and enjoy the entire family. Highly recommend!
Great food and great service! Went there for a graduation dinner and wish we'd gone sooner!
My son who was the guest of honor his $70 filet was overcooked. It took the staff 20+ minutes and by that time everyone else was finished. The manager came over to apologize but did not comp anything. It was not the only meal that was not great. Really disappointed!!!
Overall it was an exceptional Mother's Day outing. One of our steaks was over-cooked, however it was still a very good cut and seasoned perfectly. We highly recommend the mussels, very tasty. I will definitely come back to try other menu options.

We have eaten here before but our food Friday night was not good. The meatloaf was burnt and crispy on the outside. The fish and chips dinner was overcooked.
Classic - and classy! - steakhouse with all the vibe you'd expect. Booths! Cocktail and wine list! A waiter who knows what he's talking about! And just enough noise in the dining room to keep the buzz going. Speaking of classic - go on the weekend and try the prime rib. Amazing! And the Mac n cheese side is everything you'd hoped. But remember: classic steakhouse also comes with a classic steakhouse bill at the end. Totally worth it. (And the wait staff earned a big “thank you!”)
Fantastic service. Everything we asked for. Prime rib was outstanding, other food was very good.
Kara took good care of our party. Servers were friendly as they delivered our food. Food was good. Excellent options on the menu. Will return. Thank you
Dinner was fantastic. Service was superior. Wonderful evening and can’t wait to eat here again!
