Hickory River Smokehouse

Very nice place to eat! Clean, spacious seats and friendly staff. Food was very good, except the coleslaw, which was tasteless. The chili and brisket were great with mild sauce in a side. Price is fair and worths the food.

I got the chili cheese fries and peach cobbler with ice cream. The fries were tasty, the restaurant was clean, and the service was fast and great. I will return. The main down side was that the peach cobbler wasn't great unfortunately!

Definitely ask them to double check your order when using the drive through. The manager had told us we shouldn’t have to check our order after pick up, but when you don’t you get burned. It’s not an option to drive back 16 miles to get the bbq sauce they forgot again or the coleslaw this time. This place is so inconsistent of putting the customer first. We don’t want a freebie next time we come to the restaurant we just want what we paid for.

Great meat and sides. Had a chart with food allergens, which was helpful. The only thing I didn't like was the BBQ sauce since it had a strong coffee flavor (and I don't like coffee). But other than that, delicious!!

We sat outside. The menu QR code didn't work, I tried twice. We got menus, they had no prices on them. We ordered. We never got our iced teas. Our food came super fast, but everything was pretty cold. No butter came with the potato. We asked for some. It was in tiny packets, which was ok, but the potato wasn't warm, so the butter didn't melt. The only thing that was even close to being warm was the side of Mac and cheese, and it wasn't hot, just sort of warm. Everything was also just sort of bland, though the cornbread was pretty tasty, if it had only been warmed a little and I would've gotten a little butter to go with it. We got our bill which was nearly 50 dollars for a half rack of ribs and the brisket meal. We actually wouldn't mind paying that much if the food had been great, but it wasn't. Sadly, we won't be back.

From out of town, and decided to give this place a try. I'm really glad we did. Everything I ate was fantastic. Gentleman who took our order was extremely nice and friendly. We are already talking about going again before we head home.

Stopped on the way back home headed
South and oh my goodness!! What a great choice! We had pulled pork sandwiches, beans and potato salad and it
was sooooo good! The atmosphere and service were also great! I wish they would branch out down south.
