Not just a friendly face behind the bar but a smart thinker, deft shaker, and creative mind. The seasonal cocktail specials were on point, covered the range from tart to sweet and made these two revellers very happy. The music on Tuesday is great we hear, even though we were too late to listen to it. Great place. Must come back.
The hounds rest used to be the blind pig. The new ownership has done a fantastic job keeping the local charm while making tasteful updates. The aesthetic is old English and it's on point.
I can't say it enough. I love their support of local breweries and the community. They participate in so many events and even host events. I consider this bar whenever I want a night out or just a quick drink with friends.

Cool bar. The bartenders are nice. I enjoy going to Irish Music Night there on Wednesday nights. The atmosphere in the evenings is good. I hope Hounds Rest is able to get Riggs Hefeweizen back on tap. Good bar to visit in Champaign.
