Wanted to give this location props! Grabbed lunch here the other day and it felt like a return to classic jj form. Staff was friendly and said hello and good bye when I left. The place was clean and the food came out quick. Ive always appreciated the fast friendly and cleanliness of Jimmy Johns. Was sad to see it go by the way side a few years back, but it seems that atmosphere has returned. Two thumbs up from me.

2 people standing behind counter just chatting it up and they ask me if I’d like to put my order in myself through a kiosk. Wow I’ll go down the street to the Springfield location where people work and not just talk all day.. pathetic excuse for management

I have been a Jimmy John's customer since the early days at EIU. The little shop next to Panther Lounge was our go-to!
I've always been impressed with the JJ energy in the shop.
Until Sept 11, 2025. Mid afternoon. I experienced the most ridiculous, indifferent, unkind, aloof, and pathetic excuse for an employee. After a very brief interaction I just turned around and left i hope he figured out that it was his attitude that caused my exit. But I am not holding my breath.
I'll still go to JJ. But that kid needs some redirection.

I ordered delivery around 8pm. I called to make sure order was received and the lady on the phone stated sandwich was being finished up and she'd be on the way. She got to my house within a few minutes. I ordered 2 hot sandwiches both were still hot and delicious. She forgot my drink and I was too lazy to call and have her come back but a few bites into my sandwich and she showed back up with my drink. She was amazing, polite, happy. 10 stars.

This store used to take regularly an hour or even two hours to deliver. Today it took 13 minutes. So much better!!!
Just a terrible overall experience lately. Prices have gone way up and well above inflation. Way overpriced for the quantity and quality of the food and service (family of 6 costs over $50 for basic sandwiches with no chips or drinks). Regularly get mistakes on custom orders and delivery takes 45 minutes to an hour and they charge $5 for delivery not including tip. Ordered on a holiday (big mistake) and they only had 1 delivery driver (they should've just closed) and our order took 95 minutes and was wrong. I called to complain and they said I could either get a new sandwich delivered (in an hour or more) or a credit for a free sandwich (a partial refund to my credit card is somehow not an option) and I have to go into the store or call up to redeem it. Lost me as a long-time customer.

Jimmy John's now I guess is using door dash and it took an hour to get my sandwich. Hope they don't still have freaky fast signs still up.

Super disappointed. I tipped 25% with a single, simple request. I asked that the driver bring the bag up one set of stairs (12 steps) and set it down anywhere, I'd grab it from there. As an able bodied person, this takes somewhere between 2 and 2.5 seconds to accomplish. I tipped almost $10 on a $14 order and all for this small favor. Which, as one of Jimmy John's handicapped customers, really ends up being a GIANT favor! It's the difference between the 20 minutes of excruciating pain it's going to take me to go to the door (where they dropped the bag) and the negligible effort it would have taken the driver.Like I said, super disappointed.As for the sandwiches? I think maybe Jimmy John's has taken a hit from the economy (and COVID, maybe)? The meat was awfully sinew-y (gristle-y), and the bread didn't seem fresh.

I would recommend not ordering delivery from this location, rather go in person to a different one! I’ve ordered twice for one sandwich, both orders took 70-75 minutes, and one of them was delivered to the wrong address and I had to go hunting the neighborhood for it. There are several JJ locations nearby that have great service, worth the drive :)
