Graduated years ago. Turns out that changing a name but not the terrible service won’t affect the poor review lmao

I've been here twice now and the manager of the place is always very helpful, and concerned about if everything tastes. She'll also give advice and help expedite things by explaining how to order. I would also recommend asking for the House dipping sauce, its much better then the different combos of dips I've tried to make there.I've had very good experiences here.Vegetarian options: I wouldn't say they outright have vegetarian options but usually you can order from 4 different broths, 2 of them would be out for vegetarians but the mushroom and tomato broth would work for them. Plus there's tofu, and multiple kinds of vegetablesParking: It's on the U of I campus so parking will vary in availability and if you have to pay for the meters

When I first arrived we sat waiting at the door for 5 minutes until someone finally came to seat us. We ordered food, where I had noodles and my friend had hotpot. They ended up charging me for hotpot for two people, even though I didn't eat any. I even had to correct them when they tried charging me for 3 people. It ended up being a little over $100 for two people somehow. Food was alright, the only decent part but nowhere nearly justifiable for the price.

The food was delicious but after tax and tip, the hot pot cost us $40 per person, which seems a bit excessive.

The mouth-watering chicken, sweet and sour pork ribs, and twice-cooked pork in the lunch box all taste good.

The food is actually quite good and worth its price~However, I would appreciate it a lot if the attitude of the two lady staff there could be improved(Could use polite words like "Please?" "Thank you??")... LOLWhen I was being served, I have this feeling (from her tone) that she is not my waiter but my angry parent who just had a tired day and don't want to cook for me...In that case, I feel the mandatory tip is not good because I want to pay less because of their attitude and tone...

Didn’t realize how good it is until I tried Cao’s hot pot. Kungfu BBQ is way better for soup, sauces and price

This place changes their name all the time on takeout websites (Chowbus, Panda, etc), I’ve seen 3 different names over the course of my 4 years here being an undergrad. They do so to make sure new students don’t know or hear from others how bad of a reputation it has, avoid this restaurant and prepare to be ripped off if you ever decided to go in.

Their bullfrog is a complete ripoff. Very small plate for 30; tastes terrible, too. The worst I have ever experienced. Bad service as well.

this has been the only place that I can find hot pot and its really good. when I went with some friends, it was a flat fee for each of us for hotpot, which included unlimited meats (only lamb and beef from what I remember.) you can also order fish or chicken for hotpot, and soup dumplings, which were extra. when I went, you ordered by scanning a qr code on the table, which would send you to a website to order off of, and then your food would be brought to you. you also pay at the front, there are no servers.there is a bar with vegetables, noodles, seitan, tofu products, etc, that you can go up and grab from. there's also a sauce station where you can mix your own sauce for dipping meat/veggies in.

Absolutely the worst Chinese restaurant I’ve ever gone to in Champaign.Totally disgusting service of the mean and rude lady. I do wanna give her a basic tip but she said the mandatory tips are set by their “full service” machine...
