The ordering system is all online through the website, and you can "call" the waiter through the online portal if you need service. The food was great, and the portions were huge. The soup dumplings were okay, but they didn't have much soup inside them. Similar to family style minus the round table. There are plenty of vegetarian options and paid parking available in the back.

My favorite go to Asian food in Champaign. Their Lao Szechuan green beans are my perfect mealon its own! They’ve changed the recipes up on a few of my favorites that are no longer my favorites though ?Usually the service is great but idk, I think they have new ownership. They’ve been bringing meals out weird, like one persons meal at a time with a 10 min wait between each meal so if you’re waiting to eat with the rest of your table you’re food will be cold by the time everyone’s is finally there ?

I recently dined at this restaurant and it was an absolute delight! The flavors and authenticity of Sichuan cuisine truly shine through every dish. From the dry chili chicken to the perfectly balanced Mapo Tofu, each bite transported me back to the streets of Chengdu. The ambiance was inviting, and the staff was incredibly attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. I highly recommend Old Sichuan Restaurant to anyone craving an authentic taste of Sichuan!

Food was flavorful and very tasty. The fried flat noodles and chilli chicken are pretty good. Very limited vegetarian options.

GPS got me there and I passed it right by. It's in a residential building with very little signage. Parking is not convenient either. It's around back with monitored paid spaces. No entry from there. The staff was friendly and the food was good. It is somewhat "full service"-you are seated, you place your order by scanning the QR code. They bring out your food. You see your total on the app also. The Kleenex boxes on the table were a first for me. I would have preferred a real napkin. Not very good at following up after the food was delivered but quick to present the tip screen on the I pad. Good but probably won't return.

Food was delicious. They even honored pur request and the prepared their signature lamb dish with shrimp. Servers were veru cordial, helpful and had smile. The decor is simple and modern yet carried distinctive Asian style. Loved it.Will highly recommend.?❤️

Compared to other Chinese restaurants in the area, portions are smaller and more expensive. Parking is not convenient. Food tasted OK. I would not go out of my way to return.

If you're after authentic Szechuan flavors, this is place to go. You will not find a better spot in UIUC. I took my girlfriend here and we're hooked. We still go here every week.

Tony’s chicken is spicy and sweet. Has unique flavors. Taste is so good! Must try!

Food was a 3.5 got the friend noodles and it was very bland and lacked flavor. The fried rice is very good. The delivery was a little bit frustrating but the person was nice. I was a little disappointed because there was no sauce included and it cost a lot. I’m visiting and wish I could give it another try because the menu looks good. Just an unfortunate first experience

Overall the food is good but like many Chinese restaurants in the Champaign area, the spice level seems too low, especially for Sichuan food. Prices are reasonable and parking is readily available. Lots of booth-style seating which is always appreciated. One annoying thing is that they close at 9:30pm even on a Friday night. Seems way too early.

Food was very good! We tried the Chef's Special Dry Chili Chicken and Szechuan Chicken*. I made the error of asking for extra spice on these already spicy dishes and my tongue vibrated like a lawnmower. But that was my own mistake, dont ask for extra spice on the dishes with chilli next to them. They are already quite hot! Otherwise the food and the taste was fantastic. The ambiance was quite nice and the staff was also quite courteous.
