Maize is always great, especially the food. We went with a small group for brunch and it was superb. Service was very friendly and the food all the way down to the coffee was terrific. We all loved it and highly recommend Maize. Side note: this was the location in the old train station near downtown Champaign.

They have such good food made in house from all natural ingredients! I always get their birria tacos and they never disappoint.

Probably the best Mexican food restaurant in Champaign-Urbana. They have also been around for a long time, not so easy in a college town.

The mole is delicious & not many places get that right. It was sweet but not too sweet and no bitterness in sight.

Maize is easily my favorite Mexican food location in the area. All the food is fresh and is excellent for brunch, lunch or dinner equally. They offer blue corn tortillas instead of the usual yellow corn also, which I appreciate greatly they're delicious. I tend to get either the pechugo polla (chipotle chicken) if I'm hungry or some of the steak tacos for lunch. Everything I've had is very good.

Excellent Service. Simple, delicious food. The dishes were made with fresh ingredients and then prepared with excellent technique which allowed the flavors of the dishes to showcase themselves. This precision was revealed in all aspects of the experience. Even the iced tea was fresh, bright, crisp, and clearly made with care. Very satisfying without being heavy. But, honestly, even with that backdrop, those corn tortillas stole the show with effortless aplomb. Rich corn flavor. Served piping hot. Ah, but the texture…. the way they yield to the tooth... Listen- no joke-I have been an aficionado of Mexican cuisine for over thirty years now. I have been to countless restaurants serving Mexican cuisine stateside and abroad. I have eaten in fancier places with more dramatic food, but I have NEVER had better.

You have to try it for yourself. This has to be the best Mexican food spot. The Quesadilla made by hand with steak was delicious. It is Very authentic. The Mexican rice and beans simply taste really good.

We chose Maize for the homemade tortillas. I had the mole enchiladas with zucchini blossoms, my birria tacos. One of the best moles I've ever had and the burrito was perfect!

Maize has good food and all but, I came to get some Churros for my son because he’s never tried them, and I got (3) 6” long churros with Carmel sauce and some type of sweet cream sauce and a bag of tortillas chips with a small cup of salsa for almost $9.00. I have to say this definitely was not worth $9 and I’m not sure why that was priced so high but now it just makes me not want to go back there.
