They sell fresh central Illinois bakehouse breads here! And they slice it for you :)!
People are haters in these reviews, I dont get it. Get the Italian sandwich and I promise you will be happy! Delicious! Got me through finals!
I have been a regular customer at Martinellis for the past few months. I was made to wait 20 minutes (order placed at 12:35, order received at 12:55) to get two slices of pie in a box, while I’m being told “my order is coming up”, even though people with higher ticket numbers were getting their order before me. It took all but 20 seconds to get my order ready after I went up to the counter a second time. I didn’t even get an apology for the wait. The food is good (hence the two starts) but the wait is not worth it. I don’t think I’ll be coming back for some time, at least
Nice fresh meats, and they have those killer Momofuko noodles everyone is talking about!
Such a great local spot! The chicken parm sandwich is delicious and so is their cannoli! One of my new favorite places to eat. Great menu, and quality food.
Fantastic experience. From the staff, to the food...would definitely recommend!
The is not the first time we have had dinner there, but this is the first time it was disappointing. I got the $18 pastrami Rueben which although expensive, used to be justified due to the amount of pastrami they gave you. Not only did they skimp out on the pastrami, but they forgot the au jus for the Italian beef sandwich. When walking up to the counter, they were reopening the bag, as they forgot the side of giardiniera and laughed it off. It was ordered as a side but for some reason they put it on half the sandwich. We were also the only ones in there, so it wasn’t because they were super busy or in a rush. The shop is super nice on the inside, but doesn’t justify the poor service and quality of their deli. Disappointing because they used to be really good. Hopefully they can turn things around.
Had the chicken parmesan, the chicken was so delicious, melted in my mouth. Also bought Lavander honey. Prices are reasonable. Clean. Customer service was good, staff friendly, and didn't have to wait that long for our order. Cozy atmosphere!
Sign says $14.99/lb. for pastrami and after getting home I saw that I was charged $19.99/lb. for 2 lbs of pastrami ($40 total). Called to find out if there was anything they could do for me since they overcharged me by $10, but was told too bad even though the sign was completely wrong the price is right in the computer. Another typical zero customer service experience.
Stopped here to grab a sandwich on. Road trip. Lovely items to shop from! Brought a few boxes of tea, honey, jam, and candy. My Italian sandwich was delish huge portion and warm bread. Thank you 😊

Absolutely Fanfriggintastic!
Best Deli in Champaign County, by far!
Overpriced. So disappointed for $40, I got crap food and an expired bag of chips. Do better!! I’d have rather went to jimmy John’s. Ick.
4.5/5
Rueben is overpriced, meat was really good, i’d say it needs more tang to it and more sauce to take it where it needs to be. Staff friendly and atmosphere very good, prices again get me here for a product that has more potential.
Great selection and all very tasty
Good sandwiches on tasty bread, but a bit pricey.
