Not a lot of fine dining places in Champaign, ILL but Nandi Milano is terrific.
Greeting by the owner/manager with a smooth Italian accent sets the tone.
I started with grilled asparagus (which was perfectly cooked and grilled to perfection!), and enjoyed the Chilean Sea Bass on a bed of grains and veggies. My son and husband enjoyed a spinach salad and a pasta dish that they both enjoyed. The servers were attentive and the manager stopped by several times to check on our dinner.
We came to see our son at UIUC, and it was a fun ending to a great day.

I recently made reservations for 16 distinguished guests and faculty for a department at the University of Illinois. Due to unforeseen circumstances, some schedule changes, and cancellations on the day of the dinner, it ended up being for 8. Upon checkout, the chair of our department was charged a $400 no-show fee for the 8 who were unable to make it. It states nothing on your website about no-show fees, nor was I told this upon making and confirming the reservation about any no-show fees. The reservation was on a Thursday, so it was not very busy. The cardholder's credit card company will be disputing this $400 fee and our department will no longer be dining at your establishment in the future when we have guests.

For $280, One Lasagna entrée, the "Steak" entrée (a joke for $78) and two Moscow mules. The Lasagna was ok, ate it two days later as it was just OK but it cost $30+, my date seems to forget eating all of her steak because when the night was o er she tought she had some left . Not sure what happened there. Ambiance is nice but far nicer restaurants and bars that are far cheaper. I don't speak Italian, so no bonus for the server that could speak it ?

I was there on a Friday evening, there were 7 of us colleagues. They had us seated within 5 minutes (we hadn't booked), it should be noted that the manager spoke Italian, but he only made us sit down.
Then the waitress arrived, who honestly had the wrong job. Because in a place where a fillet costs $95 you expect to find excellent service, but unfortunately it wasn't like that, because she took the drink orders, and when she arrived with the bottle of wine the glasses fell, then when was pouring the wine and dripped the wine on three colleagues. Three of us ordered the fillet, waited 95 minutes, in the meantime the 4 of us ate the starters and first/second courses.
Let me start by saying that the food is special, it is really EXCELLENT and it feels like eating in a restaurant in Italy, but the service is like a pub... considering that we spent 1176 dollars for 7 people we expected something more.

We came in here and stood for 15 minutes. Not a single employee came to help seat us or greet us. We ended up leaving and going to Guido's. HIGHLY recommend Guido's.

Went here for an anniversary dinner and it delivered! Great menu and the dishes deliver, nice service, and a classic setting. With the price of the bill, I’d consider this a “special occasion” place, but I can see it working for business settings too.
Parking: Street parking or there’s a parking lot 2 blocks to the north on Neil. Metered parking, $1-2 an hour.

For the price, underwhelming. I thought the other reviews must be hyperbolic. They are probably reacting mainly to the price. I figured I’d give a middling score because the food wasn’t inedible. It was underseasoned, especially the risotto and the rigatoni alle beppe. The gnocchi was pretty good but I wouldn’t bother going just for that. Takeout is convoluted to get ahold of because they take it down at random times, but when you do find they are accepting orders the process is smooth for pickup.

This is our "to go" restaurant for (very) special occasions. The food is supererb. Each dish is made with the best ingredients and is executed to close to perfection. This comes with a (considerable) cost, which is the reason we only go there on very special occasions. This time, we had the Tagliere Di Affettati (cured meats plate) which should really come with a complimentary bread (additional $12), the Gnocchi Di Patate alla Sorenttina, Ravioli Di Aragosta E Granchio, and Paccherri All'astice. All were excellent. The check, came to just over $70 per person (including tax and 20 percent tip which was added to the bill). We did not have any wine. One small thing... The restaurant is very dark and some more lighting would certainly help, especially when the dishes look so good.

The food here is good and Celiac friendly. However I a bad experience with my waiter who thought for some reason it would be funny to joke that my food in fact wasn't gluten free after I'd already started eating it, and then just sort of laughed and walked away before I could verify if he was kidding. Seeing as a Celiac reaction would have sent me to the ER for the night I didn't find it funny at all and was extremely anxious and had to waive him back over to confirm that he was joking before continuing to eat. Not funny. Never joke about that. For what we were paying to eat there that was kind of unacceptable. We still tipped 20%

Went in for the first time. Our server was stellar, super friendly, and helpful with the menu. The atmosphere was calm and elegantly understated. The food was outstanding. We ordered the caprese appetizer, a vegetarian gnocchi, and brussel sprouts as a side. The gnocchi was possibly the best I've ever had. The sauce was amazing, with little roasted tomatoes, and the gnocchi itself was pillowy and luscious. I would definitely go back and cannot recommend them highly enough. They were a bit pricey, but the food was outstanding.

The food was substandard, The prices were ridiculously expensive for what it was. Service no idea what was going on. Went based on recommendations to come here is the best place in Champaign definitely do not recommend. Food was awful even to the point where they translated Chilean Seabass into Bronzino two completely different fish - place is ridiculous. Very confusing wine list and then a mandatory 20% gratuity.
