I was visiting for my cousin's wedding and grabbed lunch before heading to Chicago to catch a flight. The staff was friendly and the food was seasoned well. I gave the food 3 stars only because it was warm and not hot from the buffet. I will go back when I visit again.

I will start with the positive. When my party and I walked in we were welcomed warmly by several staff. The restaurant decor during the day seemed a bit blah, but I’ve been several times during the evening and it’s a vibe!We definitely felt welcomed and happy to be there for the Sunday brunch. We were seated and our waitress came right away. She explained how Sunday brunch worked and asked what we wanted to drink. She was very polite and thorough. So time to visit the buffet! The buffet had a pretty good variety of foods for brunch and I was so excited. The food look great and smelled great. So I wanted to try everything, and developed a plan of action! talk about DISAPPOINTING! The fish was SALTY as if they seasoned it and used seasoned breading. The chicken didn’t taste fresh like it had been fried the day before. Maybe old grease? The grits were very gritty and not creamy. The eggs were hard due to it sitting for a while. The Mac and cheese had so much oil I tilted my plate to dab it off with a napkin. I enjoyed the greens and corn bread muffins. I really wanted to like the dressing, the flavor is there. It was smooth a creamy just EXTREMELY SALTY. I mixed it with cranberry sauce and just prayed my BLOOD PRESSURE WILL BE OK. The bbq ribs and chicken were salty, spicy and sweet overall not pleasant! I was fine with the desert options but it just tasted like slice cake from Walmart. For the price of this Sunday brunch I expected for the food to be way better! I’ve been here before a few times back in 2019 and the food was not salty but not always great either. I’ve had times where my food was really good, but I can’t let this Sunday brunch slide. For $30+ I should have eaten more than 1.5 plates. Salty salty salty! I hear sat is better maybe I’ll try again then.

Fried chicken is outstanding.
We eat here everytime we are in town.
Nice, big open place. But sometimes even with several empty tables, the tend to group you right next to other groups, some who are LOUD.

10/10 recommend! I went during lunch and the service was great. We were seated right away and our server was great. My favorite food items was the gumbo hands down! I will be back for more. I ordered the chicken, waffles, and collard greens. The greens were great and not too salty. The chicken was seasoned to perfection, but I like my chicken wings a little burnt. Make sure to ask for your wings well done if you prefer that too. I got the banana pudding to go. It was very good but had too many bananas in the bottom for me. If you like that you will love it. We had no trouble finding parking and the food did not take long to cook. I would love to come when there is music and a more vibrant crowd. The cost was appropriate for the food we got and current prices.

My daughter, granddaughter and I are driving from Vancouver, Washington and found this restaurant online. Went there and was not disappointed. I had the chicken wings, greens, potato salad, and it tasted like my Mama's cooking, it was so good. The atmosphere was very welcoming, our waitress Mishiea was very sweet and attentive, and the owner's son Michael made us feel like family. We highly recommend this restaurant.

In my four years visiting Champaign Urbana, I have never been disappointed by a meal at Neil St. Blues. It instantly became one of my favorite restaurants anywhere in the world. The entire menu is delicious and my only complaint is that there isn’t a second location in the Chicago area. You’ll love this place.

I make orders for my office meetings. Yesterday I decided we would try a new place last minute and I didn't get everyone's individual order in until early this morning. So I placed an online order for a pretty big group of about 20 people so my bill came to over $500. When I went to pick up my order I was informed my order did not process because orders that big need approval (even though I had a confirmation email) and now I had 10 minutes before I had a meeting room full of hungry people with no food. Thankfully they apologized said they could push the order in for me and would even deliver so I didn't need to drive all the way back. I was very frustrated but agreed to let them make up for it. They not only had my food ready to deliver within 30 minutes but every order was hot, fresh, and correct. (The delivery driver even carried all the food up the stairs for me) I am very pleased with the service I received even with the slight hick up and will definitely order more company lunches from them in the future!

Everything was great. I love the buffet and the bottomless mimosa. Will be back again. The only drawback was that they ran out of ox-tails, but other than that, everything was wonderful.
