Have food allergy issues so I messaged on FB. Very prompt responce, and the in restaurant experience delivered. Got a gluten free crust with some veggies and no sauce. there was a generous amount of cheese and toppings. Had some Brick River cider as well. Top notch food experience. Went at lunchtime on a Thursday. Parking is convenient. Was busy but not crowded. Was a quiet dining room. Maybe a little pricey but with food allergies making dining out difficult, I was very thankfully for the accommodating and delicious dining experience.

On 10/12/24 around 3PM, we Stopped in to eat a meal and watch the Illini/Purdue game after a baseball tournament this past weekend, and needless to say we will not be back. The food was just “ok”… service was awful. We had a large party, 9 adults and 8 kids. Not huge. The place was empty with only 4-5 other guests in there at the time. The hostess was trying to seat us at separate tables for several minutes saying that they didn’t have anywhere for us to sit together. They were trying to seat us at separate tables near each other and said we couldn’t sit together because we would have different servers… what!? Finally after some more debating they put us in the room off to the side. Then comes the eating part. First off… no kids menus? We ended up ordering appetizers for our kids because they didn’t have a kids menu. Not a huge deal just slightly inconvenient when you have several kids that don’t want the same meal making it hard to share an adult portion. I ordered the Miss Piggy, hot, and it came out not hot. The mushroom appetizer we ordered was way over cooked and the mushrooms were tiny, shriveled up, and dry (they were hot at least). The wife said her sandwich was “ok”. The kids did seem to enjoy their wings. The waitress (who I don’t want to name publicly), was rude, and seemed bothered by us. One of our friends tried to order her sons drink, pointed at the end of end of the table and said “For the boy down there”, and the waitress cuts her off and says “baby girl there’s too many little boys down there, you’re gonna have to be more specific” while she was pointing at her son. At one point the waitress came out with food, my friend raised his glass and said “could I get another Diet Coke when you get time?”… her response “You’re gonna have to wait til I get the rest of the food out then I’ll get your drink”. Later, she proceeded to bring salads out, stand behind us for a second or two, and then hold the salads out over the table, without saying who they belonged to, and says “helloooo, do you guys want these or not???”. Then later when she brought more food out she says “well do you want the good news or the bad news? The good news is I have your food- the bad news is you don’t have any place for me to put it.” She then proceeded to take the plates to another room, come back, clear the table, and then brought the food back. Not a huge deal, just felt like she was implying that we should have already had the table cleared for her. The entire meal experience was filled with snarky comments that made it really irritating. And to top it off she was given a mandatory 18% gratuity. Be better Papa Dels.

We've been here for 30 minutes and the waitress has checked on us once the entire time. I hope the food is worth it...

Their super stuffed pizza is one of the best around and is worth the wait. One slice is a meal and it tastes great re-heated. Thank you Papa for continuing to provide this great pizza!

I ordered a stuffed pizza they gave me the original pizza. There menu they provided online is also outdated. I asked for beard sticks they said they don't sell bread sticks but the menu shows they have them. Real ingredients tho!
Staff on the phone, acted like they didn't know anything about the menu.

The food is basically the same as it's always been. However, if you order a pizza for pick up it is NEVER ready even close to the time they say it will be. If they say an hour, it's closer to 2 hours. Make sure you check your order, I ordered 4 meatballs, I was given 1. I was lucky enough to catch it before I left. They did give me the four meatballs, but look at the photo. I know places are trying to save a buck these days, but it is bananas to sell meatballs without red sauce. Especially when they used to come with it. I ended up with 8 dollars of dry a$$
meatballs. We want the red sauce papa del!

This is my first time i try the restaurant as a visitor. The food we tried were very nice and tasty. I will put some pictures. The potion is a just fair and you need to balance otherwise you will have lot of left over. Price is ok. Parkings are available for the restaurant. Good option to try.

Went in with around 30 mins to close. Asked the hostess if we still had time to eat, told yes, and was seated. It was only 9:30 on a Friday night. Tried to order a pizza and the waitress refused us. Terrible attitude and unapologetic. Won't be back.

The pizza here is without a doubt delicious! The delivery guy when my family orders to deliver is awesome. So to the kitchen and the guy who delivers amazing job!….. The customer service here for take out is HORRIBLE!… when I say the nastiest attitudes most uncaring people I have ever met in my life!…. Then I called to add to my order less than five minutes and the woman at the front answered and said well idk if we can add extra toppings cause it’s probably being cooked! She didn’t even check! I would pay for delivery just to avoid the worst customer service. Literally I lost my appetite after picking up my pizza due to how I was treated. I’m so torn the food is amazing but dealing with that makes me want to drive to Chicago just to get treated better when ordering pizza. I tell so many people about this place and when my family comes into town they order here often. Let’s be clear before writing this review I did take out 3 times and every time it got worst. This last time Unbelievable!!! If you like great pizza yes great place for just that !!! Service is very questionable! Literally the most dreadful interaction of your life!

Outstanding Chicago-style thin crust pizza. The crust has a sprinkle of cornmeal on the base, holds together well with a crisp, and toppings were loaded up. The oregano and basil on top is cooked into the cheese, which reminds me of the pizzas I grew up with. They have vegan cheese too. Really outstanding pizza! Also a good selection of beers on tab, I enjoyed the Octoberfest (from a local brewery). Happy to see a Hefeweizen too, will try that next visit!
