They fired my friend after she got the flu and got a doctors note to miss work. Extremely unprofessional and horrible management, not fair working conditions at all. Also the food is not that good and extremely overpriced.

Use to love coming here when we first moved to town. Last couple years or so it just is nowhere near what it use to be.Last three times we've been theyve been out of something and dont communicate that, theyve just replaced the items and let us go home to the wrong things. We could have just ordered something else if that was the case. This last one had me the most irritated because we specifically asked if they still had everything we were ordering. Then we get home to a broken, watery cup of gawd knows what and some bread scraps that look like i just robbed a soup kitchen. That just leaves such a bad taste in your mouth when youre trying to eat too. It just is not worth it anymore.Dont know if theyve had new owners in the recent years or what. But, they are not doing right by Pekara.

When server brought the first part of the order, she picked up the table number as if to take it away, so I told her we are still waiting for the drinks. She snidely responded: "Yes, I know. There's a line."
What a happy surprise to find for lunch! The sandwiches were delicious, the soup delightful, and I won't soon forget that cookie, so yummy!

Super busy place and the wait for food was a bit long so don’t go when you are starving.Salmon ? lox needed a bit dill cream cheese or some element to lift it.Beef au jus was super dry with really hard bread.Red pepper tomato soup was excellentSalad ? was freshDonuts …. tasty for the sugar bees in the group , I passed on the fluffy over sweet nothingness ?

My go-to is the roasted red pepper soup, but I tried the turkey melt, and it was equally good!

We love Pekara for baked goods (the best croissants- especially the almond), lunch, and coffee! The staff is always kind, and on the rare occasion there’s a mistake they always make it right. Even when they’re crazy busy the staff is kind and professional. One of our favorite spots for our family!Kid-friendliness: The staff is always kind and welcoming to our kids, even when they’re not on their best behavior. Lizzie especially goes out of her way to welcome our family!

Ordered a chicken pesto panini on focaccia bread. I thought it was expensive but hot diggity - when I saw the size of that sandwich - tremendous!! I made two meals out of that!Perfectly crunchy outside - warm flavorful inside. I will soooooo be back. Worth EVERY bite. Also bought 2 gingerbread people for a friend. Will get back to you on the baked goods!!I actually met someone there to discuss some work opportunities and that went well too!Thank you pekara!
