I've gone here quite a few times and the staff are consistent in giving great service and serving good food.

We told them NO ONIONS because my mom is deathly allergic to it, and yet, we still found onions on her sandwich. How hard is to not put onions on something?

The good: the sandwiches are what's to be expected for a sub, altho there's not much meat, but the fresh cut fries have been a life long favorite of mine, but unfortunately they were over cooked!
The not so good: $40 for only 1 large and 1 medium Italian subs and 1 large plus 1 small fry is unacceptable! For just a little more we could've had a much higher quality meal! I understand inflation takes some blame, but certainly not to this level.
Thanks for the meal Penn Station, sorry to say it'll be our last one here.

What is wrong with these people? When we walked in, the four kids behind the counter were chatting among themselves. When I placed my order, she kept turning her head to chat with the other three and thus missed an important instruction for my order. Of course, it comes up incorrectly. When I questioned her about it, she told me that wasn't what I asked for. I told her that if she had not turned her head to keep talking to her friends, she would've remembered it. I just got a refund and kept it moving.

We had the same scenario as someone 3 months ago. Zero customers at this location. Put our order in and waiting 20 minutes. In the meantime 4 people came in after us. The people right after got their food then the next. We asked if they forgot about us. They said the wraps were called and needed to warm up. We waited for probably 25-30 minutes before we got our wrap and fries. Wrap was ok, fries were not good. Tasted like they were cooked in old oil. Floors were dirty and bathroom was out of paper towels.

Best subs in Champaign or anywhere I've ever been. Hole in the wall place better than any corporate sub shop. They do not skimp on ingredients by any means they are are piled on! The taste is out of this world! Fries are great also.

I know things have really gone to shit when I can't even have a decent experience at Penn Station anymore. I had to loudly ask who I was supposed to order from because none of the 3 people staring at their phones even acknowledged I was there. Then they mumble whatever it was that I assume they were asking while not even looking up from their phones anymore than it takes to put the order in. I dont even have my food yet and I'm scared for what's to come.
