Clean well-stocked grocery store. Might not deserve five stars but I figured I'd offset the idiots who gave it 1 star for customers not wearing masks.

I called Schnucks to have them prepare some blackened catfish fillets for me. I've had it before and it was very good. So when I called the young man informed me that they were large pieces and I said OK. I don't know why he felt the need to tell me that but I still want it four pieces prepared. When I arrived he brought the pan out to me and it was covered with aluminum foil and he said I found you some small pieces. I looked at him and responded by asking did I ask him to find me small pieces? He seemed puzzled and said no you didn't. I told him that when I called I was informed that they were large pieces and I said OK I would like four of them. When I took the lid off they were very small and I had to have another piece prepared! I didn't notice the price because typically it's 799 a pound. And the price on the pan seemed to be a lot! When looking inside the case I noticed that they had raised the price by three dollars! I asked him when this had occurred and he said on Wednesday I asked him why and he said that he didn't know! How can you raise the price of catfish fillets by three dollars. None of the other fish in the window was any higher because I always shop there! I mean if anything was going to be raised you would think it be the swordfish, salmon, halibut but catfish unbelievable! Schnucks should not think it's OK to do that to people!

Be careful of customers wearing half masks as if that is safe. Every time I go to this Schnucks there are three or four customers (and occasionally staff) not actually wearing masks: just pretending. Be careful in this store.

I was having a conversation with another shopper whose mask said "obey," and upon asking on the mask, and to whom exactly the "obey" was referring, he asked me if I had ever heard of the Holocaust, and told me that he had another mask at home with a Jewish star, because "this is the same exact situation," a statement that is not only materially incorrect, it is dangerous and needlessly offensive. At such time, the manager of the store came over to me and told me that I needed to either continue shopping or leave, with no comprehension or acknowledgement of how deeply insulting and hurtful this sort of comment is. Other - male - staff began to surround me and glare at me menacingly, because I was "being loud," and was told to "leave the shopper alone or leave." I am honestly disappointed, sad, and angry that in this discussion I was the one singled out as a threat in the store. Be better, Schnucks.

Horrible customer service... the service desk manager Alicia is the worst manager I've ever had to deal with. I'd rather shop at county market than to deal with the horrible demeanor, and non caring attitude!
