I ordered online. Asked for spicy 3 pieces of chicken and I didn't get spicy. Very sad.

Wouldn't accept a coupon. Poor customer service, drove away without lunch and a wasted sandwich behind the window
Best place to grab fried chicken now. They changed something about the management or people they hire. Whatever they did, now became a 5 star place (before 1 star).

The young lady sales clerk was very upbeat and did a very good job. It's simply Popeye's they did have a sale today and that makes it always better 👍🏿

I ordered the fish sandwich I saw on TV. Would have been more satisfied with a filet'o'fish from McDonald's. The absolute WORST fish sandwich I've ever had. My dog enjoyed it though. Probably won't be going back anytime soon to the Champaign location. I gave up on them 2-3 years ago because the service was so bad but I decided I would try again and I was not surprised at the result.

The level of incompetence is actually impressive. Numerous times they've messed up orders but it's always in a way that mixes things up.
Regular chicken and not spicy, wrong dipping sauce, not giving me the extra biscuit I paid for.
In the same way they managed to forget more food items, proving yet again why everyone continues to disparage this once delicious chicken joint that now lacks the basic ability to bring you the food you pay for.

I’m speaking up because it’s clear that the quality of service and products in certain neighborhoods has declined, and it feels tied to the assumption that communities with fewer resources won’t complain or don’t have the power to push back. That mindset is unacceptable.
Every customer — regardless of income level or racial background — deserves respect, consistency, and quality. When franchisees cut corners in specific neighborhoods, it sends a message that those customers don’t matter. And that is something I refuse to ignore.
I value my money, especially in a time when everything costs more, and I won’t stand by while large corporations allow lower standards in communities they think won’t speak up. I will call attention to this issue publicly and nationally if needed, because people deserve better than being taken for granted.

I have decided to stop going to this particular Popeye's because of the service, chicken and overall experience.
Today's visit has definitely changed that for me. I will be back again.
This was the first time in 8 years of visiting here that I departed with a smile and a feeling of pleasure and joy 😊 I'm not sure how to put it into words, but all the way home I was just thinking of the lovely experience. Maybe because I was expecting disappointment but what I got was far from it. It was a very nice encounter.

I'm sorry to say but the staff at the counter had a very difficult time speaking English. At least this was on the evening that I was there

On Jan. 16, 2026, I visited this Popeyes establishment last night (around 9:30p). I asked for a 3 piece mild-dark with red beans and rice. As I was driving up to the pickup window, I heard the girl say give them spicy. I didn’t even think that she was talking about my order since at this point I was at the window. I got home and I had all spicy chicken!! I live 20 minutes away. I was right there at the drive-thru window and she didn’t bother to ask if I’d prefer spicy bc they’d run out of mild. Basically, I’m spending my money and they’re giving me what they want me to have and not what I ordered. This is not the first time this has happened to me. I am officially done with this Popeyes. People have so many severe food allergies nowadays. Popeyes should be very careful bc they’re going to end up being sued or even costing someone their lives should they have a severe allergic reaction to the spices in the Popeyes meals.

Wouldn't serve my small mobile order in the drive thru. Didn't have lemonade so they gave me a medium cup for soda (should have been large). I shouldn't need to challenge every decision they make, they should learn their jobs.
