Cozy spot for authentic Chinese food with excellent service. We had the egg drop soup, hot tea, dumplings, chicken & green beans and chicken fried rice. The lunch special also included an egg roll. All were very tasty with nice servings.

What an amazing find! My husband and I had been running errands around Champaign and were getting hungry for dinner. We drove past this place and that, and eventually decided "Rainbow Garden" sounded worth doubling back for. And oh my goodness! First off: the service was PHENOMENAL! We were never rushed but never felt unattended. Our drinks were repeatedly refilled before they were empty. Our food came so much faster than we anticipated! Even paying was quick and easy. Second: the food was honestly some of the best we've ever had. the Pekin duck was nearly perfect (the skin could have been crispier) and the beef fried rice was possibly the best fried rice we've ever had. So flavorful, so full of meat, and the meat was tender and tasty! Third: the whole restaurant was very clean. The bathroom was a little dark, and there's an obstacle in the hallway that makes it not wheelchair accessible, but overall an excellent job. We will be back!

Restaurant very clean, maybe recently remodeled/painted? No sign of wear. Food was excellent, and they made my meal sufficiently extra-spicy 🔥 on request. Staff friendly and attentive.

OVERALL RATING 8/10
From the tables to the bathrooms, this restaurant is very clean. As far as service, the staff is very friendly as soon as you walk through the door. The wait staff is equally as friendly. They are very attentive to your needs.
Now to the food. The Szechuan Style Wontons are absolutely amazing. The Wontons are in a special sauce with green scallions and are wonderful. The Orange Chicken sauce was the best I’ve ever had; it is quite unique with the sweet and tang.

This is the most underrated Chinese spot in town.

There are other restaurants nearby with higher ratings with zero effort dishes. These are well plates, expertly prepared and the dining area is elegant.

It’s baffling that a place like Ming Garden has similar ratings. This place should be 4.6 at least. People in this town dont know good Chinese food.

Really disappointed in our carry out. We orders dumplings, crab rangoons, beef and broccoli, moo shu pork, sesame chicken, and honey garlic cashew shrimp.

The dumplings were underwhelming and bland. The sesame chicken and beef were also bland and watery. The food portions were all over the place. The prices were way to high for the low quality and inconsistent meal we got.
