40 to 45 minutes wait for food.
Drinks are brought with your food.
They charge 1.00 for refills.
No brisket.
Bbq is smothered in bbq sauce and was too sweet for me. No unsweetened tea. Sweat tea had a weird flavor to it.
We were a party of 9 we were allowed to move the tables if we were going to put them back before we left.

This place seems to run on 2 employees the front host is also the waitress.

Went for lunch today and the food was amazing! Got the rib tip dinner which came with fries, baked beans, coleslaw and toast, and also got the collard greens. All of the food was delicious and I will definitely be coming back! My friend got the banana pudding but we will be back for the cheesecake!!

The sooie burger and ribs is where it's at. I love this place - the value is incredible

First time visiting. The seating area was very clean and the staff very friendly. Unfortunately for us the brisket fell well short of our expectations, dry , charred and had an odd aroma. Fires were great as was our other sandwich.

I really enjoyed Sooie Bros. From the ordering process where the employee explained their process clearly to the food. Everything was perfect. The fries were uniquely delicious and pulled pork sandwich was generous in size with great taste.

This same plate at a restaurant downtown Chicago was $65, not only did I leave with a full rack but I got food to sit down and eat. I read some of the review first before I went but they gave the vibe or either “I’m a competing BBQ spot that use the same copy cut review about brisket” which BTW BRISKET IS NOT BBQ, it’s at best a hot dish.

My ribs here were immaculate. Perfectly sauced, thick cut and evenly smoked.

My French fries matched the size of the meal, enough potato to clear the palette.

Coleslaw was rich and not too creamy and the right amount of vinegar. I needed a bigger portion in my opinion.

Potato Salad was DEVOURED

If you don’t like their beans, imma fight your mama. They were fire.

When I went this restaurant smelled like it was freshly cleaned, the tables were pristine.

THEY HAVE AN ELEVATOR!

I can’t wait for the bar, I can’t wait to bring all my friends. I need a rib now.

Not good. Brisket chewy and dry. Rib tips very chewy and not tender. Both meats had remnants of plastic saran wrap in the sauce. Both tasted like they sat around a while and reheated. Coleslaw was very watery, no taste. Beans maybe strait out of a can. Fries ok- nothing special. Also had to pay $1 if you want a soda refill. Sweet tea was not good. Very expensive for what we were served. Don't waste your time or money.

Wow! I’m from Chicago and just moved to Champaign. Had a taste for bbq tried this place! Hands down probably the best bbq in town!….The owner was nice and very welcoming! Icisis was so nice and they both told me this was probably going to be the best bbq I have tasted and I must say they didn’t tell one lie!!!! It was juicy and the sauce was so good! They have a customer for life. I told my sister about it and she is on her way there to place an order! Keep up the great work!!

I’ve had a lot of bbq and this place tops them all! There's a little of soemthing for everyone from ribs to chicken to their Sooie burger! The staff here are so nice and the food is just as amazing! I love how everything is fresh, the sides are just amazing and even to crave your sweet tooth they have a yummy bourbon pecan cheesecake! I don’t mind paying the $1 for water or refills bc gas stations do it all the time , not sure why ppl are complaining about it . But this is your go to lunch/dinner!

Woman was very nice on the phone. I had to give my cc # to her or they wouldn't start my order. When I picked up my order "the women" lectured me on how she was the owner and she took my order and she would never jeopardize her reputation by stealing my cc #. How was I to know who she was over the phone? Besides that, the rib tips were very tough and grisly. The cole slaw was watery. I did like the mixed sauce but I can tell you that I will not be going back. I spent over $30 with a cc surcharge. She didn't give me the receipt she gave me the order ticket.
