Owner lady at the desk does not have any hospitality as a server.
This place serves delicious Chinese food. You can pick to make your own soup or stir fry. The soups have 7 different soup bases to choose from while the stir fry has spicy or not spicy. It’s a little confusing to know the process of ordering. You have to get a bowl and some tongs, then go serve yourself. It’s pricey ($15/lb of anything) so be mindful of what you select. Overall, it tastes delicious but the prices and atmosphere make it only a place to visit on occasion.
This is one of my favorite restaurants in the CU area. You don't come here for the service, but you do come here for the food! When you enter the restaurant, you'll see a bar of various meats and vegetables. You'll also see a bunch of bowls/tongs to choose from. You pay by weight.I highly recommend ordering a dry pot (I believe there's a minimum weight required for this -- but I typically always get it for two people). I really like getting the sliced beef, spam, imitation crab, quail eggs, and a mix of every veggie. There's also a sauce bar! It's a bit expensive, but the food here is so unique compared to other Chinese restaurants in the area that it's worth it to me.
we were charged for enoki mushrooms but they removed it before serving it to us??
So good! I got the hot pot combo with beef and it was $18. Huge portions so I’d say it worth it. Have patience and be kind!!
The owner is sooooo rude and disrespectful to the customers. At the beginning, rice and the dipping sauce are free but now they charge for everything they can think of. And when they weight the food they include the weight of the bowl itself.
Their spicy pots are great. I'd recommend ordering them in person so you can control the portion of each ingredient.
LoL when you have this many 5 and 1 star reviews, how can you make a decision? Let me tell you what's going on... This is a Sichuan Ma La Xiang Guo Spicy Pot restaurant. There are some non-native speakers. So yep, pretty much all the bad interactions and 1-star reviews are from people not being patient with the language barrier or not knowing what to order. So that's all. Food was great. It took a minute to understand I could choose ingredients. It's actually pretty dope, rare to have legit Ma La Xiang Guo and choosing ingredients and it not be a big metro area in the US.. was it the best ma la I've ever had, nah, but it's pretty good considering the area.Things of note: bamboo shoots were top notch, the sauce was a little on the cumin side. Fish fillets were great. They have lotus, Fu zhu, Chinese vegetables. All awesome.
The owner itself a rude guy he think he is the best in whole universe stupid guy go learn how to make food ok and you called that best food oh my god me and my whole family did vomit in car don't go this place !
Delicious authentic Chinese food. Don't come here expecting Americanized Chinese food or anyone to hold your hand if you don't know authentic Chinese cuisine or how to order. The owners of this place don't speak a lot of English and this restaurant seems to be catered towards Chinese students or those who know what they're ordering. If you want to try this place out but you're not very savvy to Chinese cuisine I recommend bringing someone who is with you. The owners are super nice down to earth and the food is delicious and hearty.I'm a cold winter day this is all I crave. I recommend the S4 soup. There is a raw bar that you can add whatever meat and vegetables or noodles you want into your soup.

The quality is horrible, and the service is even worse. I have visited this place many times over the years and my friends and I would always get sick afterwards. I also tried take out during the covid, where the food was even worse. It was extremely salty and everything tasted bitter and far from fresh. There are plenty of quality Chinese food around the town, and this is not one of them. Avoid this place if you can.
Horrible service and they charged way more and served way less for pick up order.
THE WORST FOOD IN CAMPUS TOWN NOT GOOD HYGIENIC PREPARATION ALL THE EMPLOYEE USE PHONE AND THEY NEVER WASH THERE HAND EVEN THEY USE RESTROOM THEY DON'T WASH THE HAND & THE NAME OF RESTAURANT SAYS SPICY BUT THE FOOD IS LIKE CREAM OF SUGAR-SAUCE PLEASE PUBLIC HEALTH DO YOUR JOB SINCERELY AND PLEASE DO NICE INSPECTION IN THIS JUNK OF GREEN ST The WORST FOOD EVER HAD IN MY LIFE I WILL PUBLISH THIS TO NEWS GAZETTE, SMILE POLITE, EVERY WHERE... >>>>
Just rude horrid people work here.
The shrimp fried udon was amazing. The teriyaki beef was good too, but rather medium rare? You need to ask for mushrooms, onion, extras, etc.
