Wife and I have been to every Subway here. Back and forth on sometimes the sandwich being good. Sometimes its half-assed. This Subway has been the best one so far. Havent had an issue, foods made with care. We appreciate you guys, Village Green Subway.

Bought same sandwich 1/21/2025 for grandson at Subway on Springfield Ave for $6.68 and at this location is $8.57, showed receipt to employee, told under different management, no apology, and no offer to adjust pricing. So same sandwich is $1.89 more or 21.5%. Suggest everyone consider this before using this location.

Order here weekly. Today was very disappointing. Sandwiches were incorrect. One sandwich was literally just burnt cheese and nothing else on it. They were out of lettuce but did not mention that when we picked up our order. We ordered online and it did not indicate that they were out of lettuce. Veggie sandwich without lettuce isn't great. I will say when I spoke to the manager she agreed to put a credit on my account. I appreciated that. I hope this is just a one time thing and not the new normal.

There is a super professional employee at this location, I don’t know his name but he’s worked there for several years and is very professional to customers and he’s a 5 star employee. Knows how to ring up rewards and coupons and he works fast as possible even if there’s a big line.
But there are a few employees who work during lunch shifts who I heard during May 2024 call every customer in the whole line “hon” and other pet names which is very off-putting and not very professional.
I sometimes go out of my way to go to this Subway location instead of closer options, because overall the employees tend to be way more friendly and professional at this location than they are at most Champaign Urbana Subway locations.
Also this location has Mello Yello drink on the fountain which is rare to find and it’s obviously not healthy but if getting a fountain drink it’s nice to have it as an option.
Unfortunately though, when I visited this location in May 2024, I found out that this location no longer offers the free small plastic water cups for customers. I don’t know how long that’s been the case because I hadn’t been to this location in a year or so before that. I used to dine in at this location years ago when I lived nearby and I used to get water the majority of the time and not a fountain drink, due to health reasons. It’s rare to see a restaurant that doesn’t offer water cups to its customers. Please consider offering water cups again especially for customers who wish to dine in.
Some other random notes about this location:
This location used to serve ice cream which I always thought was unique and interesting to have at Subway but it no longer does.
This location has the new subway Baja Chipotle Miss Vickie’s chips which are tasty.
This Subway is in a beautiful area with beautiful trees and some shaded parking spots which is nice if parking there in the summer and they have blinds that lower down to block the sunlight if dining in during sunny times which is a thoughtful touch.
This location does not have plastic forks and condiment packs out by the straws and lids like some Subway locations do in town (such as the Philo Road location) but overall this location would be my top recommendation of a Subway in Champaign Urbana.

As a self-acclaimed regular at this location, I may be biased, but I'm a regular here because they have been by far the best location in the Champaign/Urbana area. I definitely go out of my way to this location, because all other locations in my area are simply jokes. These guys take pride in making their sandwiches', they're kind, and they're professional. I have never had a bad interaction here, or even a complaint about the sandwiches', which can't be said about other locations. I know it's just Subway, but thank you; thank you for not being one of those locations that has teenagers that don't care, managers that are skimpy on sandwich toppings, and employees that are overall just miserable with their jobs.
