Really great Thai food. The Yellow Curry was fantastic. Mild has some kick to it, I wouldn't recommend ordering a spice level beyond mild if you cannot hand a lot of spice. A little pricey, but the food quality is worth it. I'm not from this area, but I would return if I was going through the area in the future.

I was in the mood for something I love, but don't have very often and I had never been to Thara Thai even though I had driven by it many many times and had heard good things about it! So, I stopped by and ordered Shrimp pad Thai and crab ragoon. I was told there would be an additional charge for the shrimp and I said that was fine. When he gave me the total though I had big time sticker shock!! It was $44 for the shrimp pad thai and crab ragoon. I didn't feel like I could really cancel the order at that point and like I said it is not a luxury I partake of very often. Anyway, I had a crab ragoon on my way home. They put celery in it which changed the best flavor of the sweetness in the usual crab ragoon in my opinion. I thought it was nasty. When I got home I went to eat my shrimp pad thai and found it dissapointing as well. The shrimp was so tough that I couldn't eat it!! With all the negative though I feel I have to say what they did RIGHT!! He total that I said something about when he told me the portions were large and that was indeed the case! Also, he was very nice and brought my food out to me when it was ready!! So, customer service and portion size are definintely on their plus side!!!!

Quality is average & prices are sky rocketing at this restaurant.competitive prices are fair than Thara thai. For red curry & pad thai noodles I paid $49 through my card!

Thara Thai is our family favorite! This family-owned and run restaurant always delivers delicious, high-quality Thai food with amazing service. Whether you like your dishes spicy, mild, or somewhere in between, they always get it just right and are happy to customize to your taste. The flavors are authentic, and the staff is always welcoming.

Fantastic family owned restaurant. We were warmly welcomed in and seated. Multiple different types of dishes with various spice levels were all called to perfection. Highly recommend. Will go back for sure whenever opportunity presents itself.

I tried a few dishes here, and overall, the food turned out pretty good.
• Pineapple Fried Rice with Tofu (Medium Spice): Really tasty and well-balanced. The pineapple added a nice sweetness that worked perfectly with the spices.
• Yellow Curry with Tofu: Decent but nothing too special. It’s okay if you’re craving curry, but not a standout.
• Fried Rice with Basil: The star of my order! Very flavorful and aromatic—definitely the best dish I had.

As for the place itself, the ambience is just okay—a small spot with plenty of parking, which is a plus. Service is fast and efficient, no complaints there.

The only drawback is the pricing. Portions felt a bit on the smaller side compared to other restaurants offering similar dishes, so it did feel slightly expensive for what you get.

Overall: Good food (especially the basil fried rice), quick service, but I’d say value for money could be better.

The food is essentially takeout quality, yet it’s priced like fine dining. The atmosphere leaves much to be desired, making the overall experience extremely disappointing. I genuinely don’t understand how this place has 4 or 5-star reviews—very misleading.

Thara Thai always has excellent food. I've worked around the CU area for well over a decade and have been coming here for years. The food is slightly more than I want to pay for it but I'm never disappointed 🙂

Food tastes good. Went there for lunch and ordered some 3 entrees from the lunch menu and my jaw dropped when the total came to $80. The restaurant is a hole in the wall and is in a bad part of town so not really sure how they justify these prices. The menu online is not even up to date on pricing.
