I stay in Marriotts 100 nights a year. This place does not stand up to any of the other places. It's old and tired. The building exterior is in desperate need of a paint job. I'm looking at my balcony right now and it looks like an old wooden ship with paint falling off. The walls on the outside are faded and stained with dirt. My room smells, there is a bottle of cleaner on the bathroom counter, and the lightbulbs on top of the mirror are not working correctly.Marriott, this place is destroying your brand. Spend a few million dollars renovating it. All of the good reviews were many years ago. Buildings need upkeep. Otherwise it looks like a dump like this....The bistro had a busted POS system that was down and they were out of a few items. This place would be good for a no name motel but not Marriott. Try harder. Wont be coming back.

The worst customer service ever. Lady at the desk should not be in the hospitality business. We are Marriot Bonvoy. Never again staying in this dump. Breakfast sucked. Coffee is weak and tasteless. Hilton here we come. College visit so we will be back in Champaigne but not here again. Nor will we recommend to friends and family. Good Luck Foochie Face Lady!!

If I could give a zero rating I would. The cleanliness and quality of accommodations was terrible. Our shower was particularly dirty. Water backed up in the sink. We made the mistake of initially securing our reservation with our bank card. The entire amount of our stay was charged to the credit card we provided them upon check in; however, a full night was also charged to our bank card. The hotel can find no record of the transaction for the extra night. They refuse to make things right and have told me that I must file a dispute with my bank. That is a process that could take several days.

If I could give a zero star rating I would. I was highly disappointed with the cleanliness and quality of the accommodations to begin with. The shower was very dirty. Water backed up in the sink. The worst part about the stay is a billing issue that the hotel itself refuses to fix. There is a whole night that has been charged to my bank account in error. The hotel cannot find a record of the transaction and refuses to do anything about it. They told me that o would have to file a dispute with my bank which could take several days to resolve.

We stayed here on our way up north. There was no one at the check-in desk when we arrived. The room was fine and the bed was comfortable. The toilet seat though was very loose - which seemed unsafe. During the night at 1:30 a large group of people came on our floor and were talking loudly in the hall and allowed kids to run back and forth for quite awhile. When we left the light was out in the one elevator - so we had a dark ride downstairs.

Not very clean. There was a chair in our room that was so dirty and looked like it had a urine stain on the seat of it. To be fair, they had a sign up stating they were going to start remodeling soon, but still ..take the filthy chair out of the room. Of less importance was that the coffee maker in the room didn't work. Courtyards are usually pretty good, so didn't expect this.

Stayed here for a youth soccer tourney. Room was dirty, bathroom was moldy. Hotel is run down looks like basic maintenance is overlooked. The entire hotel smell strongly of marijuana, so bad that my clothes took in the smell. Don't even waste your time walking in the lobby. Stay elsewhere. Overpriced and run down.

Do yourself a favor, pass right by this hotel. It is in need of lots of repairs. Our room had a broken countertop that was falling in and broken cabinet. The hallways smell like smoke and our neighbors across from us smoked pot from the time we arrived till the middle of the night. Had to put a towel under the door because it was coming in. We have two young kids I would never stay there again. They unfortunately don’t take care of this hotel on any level.

I checked in for 1 night and the lobby had this sweet spray smell that I should have known was trying to cover up something. The cafe was dark, it was almost 5pm and I asked if it would be open this evening, I was told by the front desk manager, he wasn't sure as the bartender had been ill for the past few days. So after a very long few days I just went to my room, with the understanding I needed to do uber eats. In my bathroom I was greeted by a bar of soap that had been opened from its wrapping and a hand towel that appeared to be used laying on the counter, as it was off the towel rack where the other 2 were hanging. My room had such a strong smell of the air freshener, I had to open the patio door to air it out. After answering emails, I went downstairs to pick up Ubereats and realized the hallway had the same smell as the lobby earlier. It smelled like there was water damage, leaning towards skunk. Bottom line it wasn't clean. This is the worst hotel I have stayed at in years. As Bette Davis is credited saying "what a dump". This needs new management and ownership. Shame on you Marriott for allowing a hotel to have your name on this place they call a hotel.

As of August 2022 Covid is still running so strong in Illinois that they still won't clean your room in the middle of a stay. Funny.....I do not have that issue in other states. Nice excuse to save a few dollars.....shame on me for falling for it

The dirtiest shower I've ever seen in a hotel (pink/black mold and hair). Cups in room are not wrapped in plastic. Desk and chair had not been wiped down from the previous guest. The only reason I'm giving this hotel 3 stars rather than 1 is because the front desk staff immediately changed our room.

Bartender was a little shy but that's okay because the drinks made up for that. Nice and cold and delicious. This area in the hotel has a very soft mood setting. Lights are dem, no major music, tvs not blaring, 5 seats at the bar, then some open table with a few booths.Very clam and relaxing. Makes for a good time to wind down at the hotel.

Nice property. Relatively new renovation it appears. Public areas are fresh! Pleasant and welcoming reception. Guest room, double queen beds, roomy. New look to the furnishings here as well. Towels generous size. Bathroom toiletries are no longer small bottles. They've been replaced by larger pump bottles in the shower--much less waste and no throwaway plastic bottles. Lotion in small bottles is still provided. Courtyard doesn't provide a hot breakfast bar as other Marriott properties do. But a "Grab and Go" breakfast is available. This was similar to what Residence Inns provided during pandemic cutbacks, scaled back a little. Pre wrapped breakfast sandwiches, some cereal and pastries, yogurt, coffee, milk. Microwave was there to heat sandwiches. No fruit, juice, or toast. Near I-74, like most hotels. If facing the interstate you can hear road noise. No problem for me. Good value for the price. Recommended.

We arrived late on a Friday night. We are titanium lifetime members and had received a suite upgrade so was excited about that as I had my wife and teenage daughter with us. There was no mention of our status, nor anything offered (breakfast, points, etc). When we arrived in the room there was a smell, a musty odor, covered up in part by some sort of fragrance. Unfortunately the room was not in good shape. We first noticed there was a sofa bed that accomodated one, but had no sheets, blankets, pillows in the room. We attempted to call the front desk but both of the phones in the room were not connected/not working. So walked back to the front desk to get some of the items needed to sleep on the sofa bed. Unfortunately when we opened it it was very dirty so my daughter slept on the top of the (curved) small sofa. In the bedroom their was a large web above the bed and in the main room we opened a drawer when looking for the sheets and the drawer wouldn't even close half way. I reported these items to the front desk.
