We have lived here for many years and have eaten at the Ribeye multiple times.Sadly food quality went.down and we stopped eating here. Went back for a birthday dinner, it is no better and the notices are ridiculous. Service was.good and the salad bar is extensive, but my steak was an end, tough and no flavor. My wife had to send her steak back, overcooked. The others had chicken - dry and tough. To make matters worse our party of 5 was.considered a large group and they charged an additional $25. Zero reasons to go back.

I recently had the pleasure of finding this great old school steakhouse during my travels. Outstanding salad bar, everything and I mean everything on the salad bar had that homemade taste. The ribeye was cooked perfectly and loved the steak staying warm until the last bite. If I lived here I would be in here eating at least 2-3 times a week. Thank you for serving outstanding food that is hard to find these days.

My mom and I have supported the ribeye over many years, but we went to have a dinner together Friday night and not one, but both of our steaks were just terrible. They were so dry. My mom got her steak sent back and it came back even worse. We told our waitress and all she said was “I’m sorry”. Her side was forgotten. And we got 2 10oz ribeyes and our waitress didn’t even promote the dinner for 2 16oz ribeyes. Terrible experience.

That was the best experience I've had in a very long time. Since moving back to Illinois from South Florida that is by far the best steak, meal, service I have experienced. There is nothing more disappointing than to order a nice cut of meat like a Ribeye steak and have it show up think and over cooked. I was pleasantly pleased with a steak perfect in size, thickness and marbling. Cooked to perfection and it was flavorful, moist, tender and was the best steak I have had since moving back to central Illinois 13 years ago. The service and atmosphere was pleasant, their salad bar is always good and good to see fresh produce and a good looking full salad bar. That was an absolute 10 out of 10 and could not have been any better. I will definitely be back.

Three of us went there for a birthday. 10 oz steak was average at best, no taste. Fried shrimp was cold and tough. Had to be sitting for along time to be that cold. French bread was dry, not fresh at all. For $122 we will never go back, nothing to get us back there.

Great food, ribeyes served on a hot iron skillet. Salad bar loaded with great selections. I recommend the loaded baked potato. ILLINI nostalgia throughout. Fast and friendly staff. I've never had a bad experience at the Ribeye!

For real. The salad bar was okay even though I got onions in my salad from the onions being next to the ham. I hate onions so that sucked. My steak was over priced and very thin. Like get real guys. You're not fooling me with free read and a crappy salad bar a short guy like me can't even reach the Ingredients under the sneeze guarde comfortably from either side. 90 bucks plus tip is stupid on your part.
