The menu is lofty but did not deliver. The smash burger was smashed down to disintegrating cracker thin beef ash which was dry, obviously, and only tasted burnt. The fries that came with that were tough and chewy and also unsalted. The meatloaf sando was OK, but for homemade ketchup and all scratch made items, it was underwhelming for how expensive it was. The side salad with that was probably the best part of my meal, though it was piled down with an excessive amount of very tangy pickled red onions that I had to remove the majority of. I like the ideas the menu presents, but after one visit I'm not likely to come back and give the execution another try. Also, waited a LONG time for our opportunity to pay. Finally had to ask the waitress if we could. I think she thought we already did.

Easily my favorite restaurant in a town full of great food. One of those places where I’m willing to try things otherwise out of my comfort zone because I trust that they will do it right. I love the food, I love the vibe, I feel at home here.
I had the privilege of meeting Ian at the Experience the Hops event at Allerton Manor. He catered an exquisite beer paired dinner that evening, and from that moment I knew I had to eat at his restaurant as often as I could. I begged for vegan options so I could bring my vegan partner, and I’ve been happy to see that my request had been frequently honored. Can’t recommend this amazing Space enough.

Stopped here for lunch when traveling through. Husband is gluten free so we needed a place he could eat. Found The Space on google. Did. Not. Disappoint. The smash burgers. Holy. Cow. They have a GF dedicated fryer so hubs could enjoy fries, wings, and just about anything else from the fryer. The GF bun was toasted in the oven and tasted amazing. House-smoked bacon was divine. Service was great. They have indoor and outdoor seating in a cute little downtown area. Highly recommend. We will be back when in the area!

My steak was well wanted medium. Needed a little seasoning. But overall tasty, and had a good sear the steak. Fries were overcooked. House sauce was very good. Atmosphere is amazing. OUTTA OF THIS WORLD. waitress was adorable .

Went during some sort of rock got night. Good was verrrrrry tasty. Great vibes for live music. Service could definitely be better. Not given clear direction of where to sit or where to order food and there was a long wait time for the food and to check out. Good was definitely worth the wait you can also see how the chefs performed in a semi open kitchen

By far, the most interesting and consistently well-executed food in CU!
Not a bad place. Burgers were tasty, and cooked well. Wait staff was attentive and polite. The vintage McDonald's plates were quite cool to see.
The bad part is that any bill over $10 gets an 18% gratuity added. When a draft beer is $8, that's basically every bill. So, rather than a non optional gratuity, aka forced tipping, why not make prices commensurate with paying wait staff to not have to worry about tips? Instead, this is a worst of both worlds approach. Now, the wait staff did inform me about this. I just really think it's a bad approach.

Great food served by wonderful people. The owners care so much about the quality of food and most often they are the ones cooking it. That’s why I recommend The Space! Swing by for lunch sometimes they get busy at dinner. Highly recommend!

It's nice going someplace where you know the new and unfamiliar looking starter will be delicious, and the standard burger thats always there will be equally as delicious. It also has a sense of humor without being annoying, a respect for the trade without being sanctimonious, and an element of the bizarre without bringing out any nitrogen tanks. Would recommend to anyone who has a pulse and nobody who wears vests to parties - but thats just me trying to game my experience for next time.
