I would like to lead that the smash burger and fries were good. Unfortunately we were very turned off by the 18% automatically charged to our bill. When we questioned it the cashier said it's on the menu. When we checked it was so minute at the bottom you would need a magnifying glass to read it. I don't appreciate this being added to my bill and basically unaware. We are tippers but this is unacceptable. Why don't restaurant owners just pay their employees like other establishments? They expect their customers to make their payroll.

Big rare cut of meat with water dumped all over it, water splashing around the table, makes the night SO MUCH more fun. After the club go to The Space for sloppy steaks. They'd say; 'no sloppy steaks' but they can't stop you from ordering a steak and a glass of water, before you knew it we were dumping that water on those steaks! The waiters were coming to try and snatch em up, we had to eat as fast as we could! OHHH I MISS THOSE NIGHTS!

I think the place is really neat. Love watching the cooks make the food like an old diner. Very creative, flavorful sauces. Bold move serving Malort on tap. Younger me would've imbibed, older me knows better (and is less fun). They always seem to play great music. Love the vibe. Oh, and the burgers may just be the best in town.

Lots to life about The Space. Very friendly staff, very tasty food and a great location. I love that they let me take my time, never rush me and don't mind if I sit and relax with a bottle of water, or a beer. A very friendly place with great food.

Firs time at "The Space". We had a little mishap with the order but the staff were quick to fix it. The tallow fries are the go to side and Spicy Potato Tacos for the appetizer. Cant wait to come back!!!

As many others have said... the best burgers in the Greater Champaign-Urbana Metroplex Metropolitan area. I started going here right after they opened and have been happy to patronize their establishment at least once every couple weeks since. Price be damned. This is not McDonald's, and I am not a broke college student.I've sampled widely from the "default" menu, and it's all great... but I keep coming back to Sr Smashface, PhD, Esq. He is truly a marvel of modern culinary engineering. The steak and fries are also wonderful, and yes, you should spring for the tallow fries as a side. Beef tallow makes everything better.These guys make hot sauce, and it shows. Every sauce I've tried here--conveniently available for you to dollop on your food--has been awesome. As a Chicagoan™ and a ketchup hater, the ketchup here is... it's amazing. Smoky, savory, absolutely nothing like the supermarket sludge. Coffee barbecue sauce? Hell yeah. Even my despised Malort can be converted into palatable sauce by the Boyz. Top marks.Watch their specials too. Fried chicken pop-up? You're crazy. I'll take a half bird. A bulgogi burger? Fully loaded poutine? A peanut butter and hot sauce jelly burger with thick cut bacon?! You've lost your minds; I'll take one of each.

I heard about this place when it opened and never got the time to visit until this weekend. It's going to become a new favorite spot of mine because the food was amazing and the drinks were great. Service is also top tier. The ambiance is also welcoming and fun.
