Great food and wine, can't wait to see what it comes back as
My favorite restaurant in Champaign. The menu is a little less adventurous than it used to be, but overall the food and ambiance are still great. On my last trip there I decided just to get the hamburger. Best hamburger I can recall in a long long time.
This place is just way overpriced. The ambiance is nice, and the wait staff are friendly, but the food is just too expensive for what it is. Same with the drinks. I had pancakes there that were over $10. You should never pay more than $10 for pancakes anywhere, let alone in Champaign. They're literally the cheapest things to make. If you want a good breakfast place, go to Sam's cafe on the other side of the block
Great brunch. Loved the potatoes.
The entry is unnoticeable and quaint but when you open the door and walk inside it is like being transferred to a whole new world, beautifully decorated with a very warm feeling, locally owned 5 stars from us for that (CU Bands and Fans) the food is fantastic! The Chef is on point with the meals - the staff is knowledgeable and friendly. 5 Stars all the way across the board for this incredible restaurant in CU! Located in Downtown Champaign -
very friendly staff. great service. good food.
The waiter there is the most friendly person you will ever meet, he is very attentive and knows a lot about the food here. They started doing lunch over the summer and it's wonderful! Good prices and everything is so tasty. I got the eggs Benedict, which was perfectly cooked and the potatoes were great. I will definitely come here again!
Great food. Great customer service. Super clean. Only complaint:
Food and service were very good. Prices were reasonable. Environment was appropriate. I had an excellent experience and would reccomend this place to friends.
Great decor and location but our food was not good. The chef admitted a mistake with one of our dishes which made the vegetable portion of it inedible (cobia- fish) They stilled charged us for it. One of our other dishes (lamb) had, maybe, 1 1/2 oz of meat in it. Barely enough to taste the flavor of the meat. The other two dishes were ok. A salad we ordered as a starter was the best thing we ate. Service was good but very disappointed overall.

Lot of hipster hype but something was missing and out of sorts. Mostly customers. Wed night blues perhaps? The waitress from minute one to last drop overly inserted woes of her long day and week and while she thought it was humorous, it did not represent the establishment well. We were easy mannered customers on a slow night so my thought is be thankful? I also had made it known in the reservation that I represented a foodie information company if just so that they would be aware and although waitress acknowledged, the fact didn't appear to prompt her to step up her attitude guess we might say? Notably same lackluster response from bartender with one customer which is a shame as the bar is the entry point and should be used as a greeting station for the patron. The place boasted a remodeling but the booth seats were clearly leftover and have sat in junkyard ones more comfortable. Took awhile to get drinks after drink order, no drink or food specials mentioned. The grilled asparagus w/homemade chips were tasty, plentiful. The radish skewers w/tuna also tasty, fresh, well presented. I enjoyed the sea scallops w/proscuitto and couscous. Overall however I'd probably not go back.
Love the rotating seasonal menu of drinks and entrees. It always makes it a fun place to go and see what's new. Wait staff is always very kind and helpful.
I had the deep fried pork belly schnitzel, with mashed potatoes and a beet slaw. The pork belly was not the best cut I've ever had. The deep frying dried it out I thought. The potatoes were hearty and buttery. I also enjoyed the slaw. I did get a side of smoked gouda mac. It was an interesting take. The waitress was very knowledgeable and friendly. The wall had a booger on it by our booth. I didn't want to say this but it is hard to ignore while eating.
Very good food. Try the charcuterie options! Jamí³n for $7 is an amazing value.
Fried chicken was so spicy it burned. Lamb was bland. Wine was awesome. Service was mediocre.
