As Dairy Queen's go, this is a solid location. Great for random ice cream jaunts or a decent meal. They are often busy, especially during the Summer.

Food is prepared within the standards of what you'd expect from a Dairy Queen. I often get the chicken fingers basket and it's always on point.

The real draw is the friendly staff. No matter how busy it gets, the staff is always smiling and friendly.

Dairy Queen used to be great. About 15 years ago. Since then it has been down hill. I overall gave two stars because the food is halfway decent. Overpriced but still decent. However, over the last few years I have received several wrong orders and management was no help fixing anything. I have received cold food countless times, a handful of times blizzards were basically half melted when they handed them over. All in all the only reason I continued to eat here was when I had a craving, or a gift card. Each time had some type of issue. Their app is also unreliable and often your orders won't go through but don't worry your card will still be charged.

The atomosphere is almost always chaotic. Most of the time alot of staff is just standing around while 1 or 2 teenagers run around trying to keep everything flowing. Management continues to be some of the rudest people you could ever interact with. They talk to you like you're 2 and basically any issue you could ever have will be met with ope well sorry can't help you. I'm definitely over the establishment and from now on will be making with drive to one of the mattoon locations, since the food and service is always better in mattoon.

If you ever decided to visit charleston dairy queen your best bet is to go before 2 pm. That way you have a better chance of getting fresh food and decent customer service.

We had delivery yesterday. All food was cold! Chicken strips were old tasting. Will not be back. DQ used to be a good place to eat - years ago!
